The one thing you'd like most right now (for your Lucid vehicle)

Thus far they have ignored my request. I had to take it in and asked that they fix it. Upon pick up they was only one guy there and he knew nothing about it and it wasn’t listed on the list of issues discussed when it was dropped off. I go back in about a month for parts that just came in and will ask again.
For what it's worth, they eventually redesigned the Air frunk cover and carpet, and I asked for it to be replaced and they did; I believe there was a charge, but I thought it was worth it because of the improved design. I wouldn't be surprised if there was something like that for this eventually.

Delete Highway Assist.

This is obviously for people who like to play with their phones. You know who you are.

There are so many more reasons it is useful than that. Here's one, from today: I have PTSD from 9/11; long story short, I was 4 blocks away and in my 4th day of high school, and continued to go to HS basically at ground zero, etc. Sometimes, when a plane flies low overhead, or if I hear a plane, I am forced to watch it. My body, my brain, they simply will not calm down until the plane is out of sight or out of earshot.

I can usually control it just fine, now; that's taken time. But sometimes it's like a magnet, and my eyes just have to follow the plane, and it is a difficult conscious effort to not look at the plane.

This morning it was very early, I was driving to SF, and I was tired... and around SFO a plane flew low(ish) across the highway to land. I had to follow it with my eyes, and it was right then that I turned on Drive Assist; not so that I could ignore the road, but because for those 120 seconds or so, it was literally helping me stay calm and present by giving me one less thing to worry about in that moment.

There are many reasons I'm glad it exists. And, as you know, I generally like to drive my car, not have it drive me. But sometimes we could all use a little help. :)

With Gravity deliveries coming, and AA (almost) here, I thought it might be interesting to hear the one improvement/feature/fix each of us would most like for our car/minivan (😄). I don't have my AGT yet, so I could change my mind once I get it, but I would love to have V2H implemented. I live in a hurricane-prone area, and this would be a very helpful capability to have.

What is the one improvement/feature/fix you would like to see in your Lucid?
I have been asking and asking about V2H for a couple of years, but Lucid will not provide any info. Not even a simple product roadmap.

It's too bad because this was one of the top 3 reasons I purchased a Lucid and they promised it YEARS ago. They like to concentrate on the gravity, and all the other lame updates, before providing anything they promised or of any substance.

Now that I've had the car for a while, I think the one thing I'd most like to see is being able to have nav displayed on the Pilot Panel while Carplay is active on the Cockpit Panel.

Also in the running for "most wanted" would be a sentry cam of some sort, and V2H but I would use those fairly infrequently.

I have Tesla Sentra and most of the alerts I get are people picking their wedgies out when they park next to it. There is an astonishing amount of wedgies getting picked on my Tesla USB drive.

Should it be renamed "Wedgie Watch Mode"?

Summon. Just simple forward and reverse functions, phone-operated, to either 1)center car in a space after parallel parking or 2)to pull car out of a tight space in a parking lot to enable easy entry.

A shame Lucid doesn't seem interested in this stuff, when M-B, BMW, Hyundai/Kia, Tesla etc. have shown it to be useful. I would totally be interested in a remote "unpark" feature for a vehicle, as people seem to have lost their minds on how to park within the lines after I so carefully do so. :)

Citation needed. :)

I doubt Lucid isn't interested; it is just not nearly the top of the list.

Heh, I'll throw it back at you; I couldn't find anywhere way they've said they are looking into remote app features like those. Hope you're right and they are. ;)

Just watched a video of new BMW remote features (some for the upcoming iX3), where they are using the Apple Watch and Siri to do stuff and that makes me think about what Lucid's tech direction is.

Have you tried it tho? I had a rental Hyundai with summon and it is so lame. It was neat exactly one time, then it was pointless. Like a bad RC car.

Not lame at all, very useful to move the car in and out of tight spaces where there's not enough clearance to open the door, AKA my garage

Okay so there is ONE use 😂

I used it once (in four years) to move my car out of a deep puddle.

RE: Highway Assist.

I am torn by this because I would love a future where cars talk to each other, especially on the limited-access highways, so I can relax (and listen to Tidal) for an hours-long drive that needs very little driver input. I would love to set cruse and stay in the right lane, but most people can't merge and way too many feel the need to get very close to my rear bumper or stay in bunches. So I need bursts of speed to get away from tailgaters and "surf the gaps" between the wolf packs.
But mostly, I hate the feel of HA grabbing control of the wheel. It scares me. I've tried it several times but do not like unexpected grabbing the wheel from my control. I want to dodge the potholes. I feel it's only for people addicted to phones .

back to topic:

My only real annoyance is the door detentes. I can barely get my leg in or out of the car before the door starts to close. I'm tempted to jam my foot into the gap to prevent the door from closing.

I'm so annoyed by this I want to get a puppy or baby seal to shove into the door gap. Is this wrong?
I think I have hit the right force and pressure once in 3+ years of ownership.
I even practice trying to hit the detentes with just the right shove. Next time I'm at a gathering I want to organize a competition.

I must be the only one that has this problem as I have never seen it mentioned here. I would not say anything but it's EVERY SINGLE TIME.

I can't imagine the horror of being in NYC that day. Don't ever go to NYC on US 95 from the South. Newark airport is right there, and the jets are so low it seems like you can reach up and touch them. 16 lanes of traffic going 80 mph with jets scraping paint off the roofs. Nobody watching the road.

I agree with you. I have a bad back and have a hard time keeping the door open without it hitting me in the legs.
