Aftermarket Wheels for Gravity

I got my new winter wheels mounted today, and can share photos. I also weighed them along with the OEMs.

The OEM 21/22 Orion wheels with the stock Michelin Primacy tires
21" weighs 69.3 lbs
22" weighs 75.6 lbs

The 20x8.5 front and 21x9.5 rear wheels I ordered from Forza Performance in the Lucid Gravity X style, and mounted Michelin Cross Climate 2's on them (sadly the new Cross Climate 3's are not available in the US until next year).
20" weighs 68.2 lbs
21" weighs 69.9 lbs

Curious, when you say “Gravity X Style”, do you mean that the wheels are custom?

If so, what was the cost for all 4?

What’s the load rating on those? Offsets?
 
Load rating is 1000kg (2200lbs) per wheel.
Front offset is 44
Rear offset 51

This is based on the stock wheel offsets, so while it's the most practical (less likely to get paint damage from road debris) and most efficient, the photos of the Gravity X concept show that it has larger fender flares and what definitely appears to be larger offsets which undeniably looks more aggressive and tough. Here's some more pictures of my setup, which I think looks fine, and is the "smart" choice, I'd say the Gravity X concept setup looks better for a more rugged look.

The wheels definitely look better than the stock small wheel even with the stock offsets. Let us know how the efficiency holds up as you saved some wheel and probably tire weight but added the extra friction of the cross climate 2’s which should grip much better.

Stopped by Lucid HQ and got an in person peek at the more off-road friendly Gravity X concept car:

- this one wrapped in a sand/beige color
- Beefy roof rack with integrated lighting
- Steeper approach/departure angles under the frunk and rear for handling rocky terrain or drop-offs
- 20/21" all-terrain tires with special wheels that oddly have one cutout framed with orange accents (...ok?)
- Themic painted mtn bike on the tow hitch mounted bike rack (not sure if all that comes with...doubt it)
- And, love 'em or hate 'em, the hood has integrated topographic maps of Big Sur and Death...

are you keeping the Michelin Primacy for other seasons, and if so, will you store at home or at a shop? just curious.

I'm thinking of swapping out the stock Hankook 20/21 for Cross Climate 2s as I'd prefer a 3-peak for winters too.

I was thinking I would run the Cross Climates year round, but not sure. I do like the look of the Orion wheels.
I store the extra wheels in my garage.
I also like the look of impractical flush fit, extra wide, low profile performance wheels! 🤷‍♂️

Haha, yes, I did see those. I do have a large collection of shoes, so makes sense my car should have several sets as well. :D

I have more wheels/tires than shoes, can’t win em all.
 
After spending so much money for custom wheels, I wonder if anyone is planning to also have their brakes painted?

Mine were on sale…the tires cost more. No plan to touch the brakes with paint, I do need to hard test them with new wheels to understand max capability though.

I was going to paint match the e-brake calipers but I think leaving it black gives it good contrast.

May eventually end up painting them a different color. My wife’s Model X calipers are painted Tiffany blue.

I believe the bolt pattern is the same so I think these would fit on my Gravity. May sell with the X or hang on to and try on the Gravity. Supposed to enter production this month. Black on Tahoe GT.
