Gravity 3.3.8 Released

Updated last night, everything seemed good after update, but didn't need to drive it.
Car slept overnight, in the morning I get in for a drive, get bunch of random faults and no music.
It's a new one too, music app works, but no sound is playing, even though it responds to play/stop commands and song time counter changes, but no sound regardless of volume control. The car is totally mute. Tried switching between Bluetooth and Tidal, no dice.
Did a hard reboot and everything back to normal, no faults and music works, drives fine too.
During the drive I noted how sluggish all screen changes are, takes 1-5 seconds for screens to change and update, feels like a background process is dragging down the OS response, then eventually it clears up and works normally.
I'm grateful for frequent updates, but it's not a "meaningful update" as Lucid states in the release notes, at least not for my car.

Yeah I made it a habit to hard reboot with the two chimes immediately after any software update to clear out cobwebs. Maybe it’s just superstition.

3.3.9 has been quite smooth for me. The only thing I’ve really noticed is the pilot screen seems to be quicker when I tap the bottom icons. Sometimes it would take a second tap to get to the right screen. Just seems more responsive.

Don’t have an 80A charger so can’t test that.

I will take incremental updates in a regular cadence. Each is a step forward and, per Nick Twork’s post, they’re aware they’ve got more to do with the software.

Not an apologist, but a realist. And jeez, I do love the way the car drives!

So get this. NotchEV posts a Maine road trip video and he got 3.3.9 and suddenly his keycard started working. I tried mine and bingo, key card now recognized by center console and I can use it to drive with fobs in a faraday bag, which happened never in the past. That wasn’t even what the OTA was for hilariously, but hey I’ll take the accidental fix!

Also placing my phone in the center console now breaks my phone’s GPS like @Ron_Burgundy has had, and is only fixed by rebooting my phone. 🤷‍♂️

I still dont get 3.3.9 offered and according to Customer Service I need to wait, they dont have a way to "push" it ...

I asked them about a previous update and it sounded like they don’t consider it a problem unless it’s more than two weeks after the original release date. I think I ended up getting the update in question about 10 days after it came out (and then got the next two almost immediately).

what the hell tho!?

I wonder if its a bluetooth issue. For about a year, any time I drove by Target, my Android tablet would crash and require reboot. It had to do with Target's use of bluetooth beacons for geofencing I think.

Main screens have loaded pretty quickly post-update. My blind spot cameras didn't load on the drive this AM. Got home and did soft reboot. All good since.

Amazing story. Wonder if it actually DID anything or just somehow accidentally woke up something in the center console when rebooting.

Sorry you’ve got the GPS issue, but now I wonder if that’s because your keycards work and whatever was “off” is now “on” in there somewhere?

I’ve gotten used to having my phone on armrest for now. And still working to trust native GPS.

Installed 3.3.9 successfully. Not getting in the car
until tomorrow, though. I hope it fixes the hurricane-force winds when entering -- it's getting to be cold season here!
It did not fix it. Was 43 today and we all know the AC is cold - quit showing off Lucid.

I don't know if it is just me but I am starting to find excuses just to take it out on a drive. Wife know if I enter 'Sprint' it will be a sports car experience. That is the beauty of the Lucid Gravity. Kind of like a transformer - turns into whatever you want/ask/demand from your vehicle. Oh, and way quicker than my C6 ZR1 - just to state the obvious.

You can’t just say you got a c6 ZR1 and not post a pic of it.

If you get in and turn heat all the way up, it gets warm fairly fast. You can also precondition. I have not had a hurricane issue whenever I’ve preconditioned.

As for driving. I’ve spent the last several months coming up with excuses to drive. Seriously. It’s that enjoyable.

I had the same question in the past and did post a pic. Look it up or I can post it here. I also gave a little review.

Mine makes a crazy whistling noise when I precondition, but as soon as I drive for 60 seconds the HVAC seems to recognize “oh he’s in the car driving now” and it must change the vents cuz the Wizard of Oz Tornado sound goes away. It will also go away if I manually change any setting on the HVAC before driving. I still for the life of me cannot figure out what that “Auto” button does though. I click it once, it does nothing. I click it a second time, maybe it de-selects, or does nothing again, and if I tap it a 3rd time, it might turn black, which I think means Auto is actually “on”?

I get the whistling at times too. Haven’t been able to figure out when/why, but it only happened when I began to use heat. Eventually, it goes away. Again, not sure why…

I’ve also had the precondition whistle, and it always goes away immediately if I toggle the AC off and on again.

These all sound like stuck blend door actuators
