Was the pencil paint harmonized? Or is this a pre-production model?
Not sure what you mean. It’s black exterior color lead artist pencils.

Well, just got off the phone with my DA and learned some great information, mainly about how to avoid direct questions and continue to be vague and have a 15 minute conversation about nothing. I am at 14 days and still "in production" with absolutely no expectation on when that might change. I asked him about the 4/27-5/3 stoppage and he, at first, acted like there was no such thing so I pressed him a bit and it became something like "not exactly a stoppage" or " depends on what the wording really is". I could tell he was not happy about what information is on this site with respect to that. When we got past that as I just dropped it, knowing no real explanation was going to be offered, I asked about delivery timing. What was, two weeks ago, " your car should deliver in 2-6 weeks, but most of my customers are more in the 3 week timeframe" has now become " I still believe your car has the chance of delivering within the 6 week timeframe". The tone has changed drastically. It has gone from being very optimistic about making the mid range of the estimate to hopeful of making the estimate at all. Looking like July for me since I cannot take delivery the second half of June, even if offered, and they have known that for months, even promising "before the end of May" at one point. Oh well.

On the plus side, he seemed to imply that we might see some news in the not-to-distant future about additional Service Centers.

As for as the production slowing down or not, a week stoppage would definitely impact that perception. I don't think we can really form an opinion though as we do not know just what having cars stacked up in that middle lot, uncovered, really means. I do think they might be grey cars though. It would not surprise me if we have another situation where we have a bunch of cars waiting for parts again.

My DA ended the conversation by promising another update next Thursday, so he obviously doesn't expect any new developments over the next several days. So, if you got your VIN the last part of April or first part of May, do not expect to be on the shorter side of the timeline with respect to "VIN to delivery" timeframe. If it does happen sooner, feel lucky and go play the lottery.
I had a similarly unsatisfactory call with my DA today with no commitment whatsoever as to when my vehicle would go into production and even went so far as to refer to the “out” built into the purchase agreement regarding the order of production and delivery . He then offered me either a white or red car that buyers had not closed on.

Talked to my DA today. They are doing the very best they can in an extraordinarily challenging environment. I imagine they are bound to certain rules about what information they can give and even likely what information they can receive.
I could not get any specific information about when my VIN may be received ( although I think it may be soon) , so I just try to exercise patience. Tough times in the car industry and economy in general .

Actually got a second shipment of pencils today. Mea culpa for no silver AGT on the horizon?? I’d return them, but my wife grabbed this batch too. Maybe I could trade a box for the tire inflator kit? Be cheaper for Lucid than running a service vehicle from NY to PA…

So my car remains in purgatory, 10 days after arriving in Beverly Hills. There is a big QC issue going around (not sure I can get into specifics) that is delaying deliveries around the country. My car has passed PDI, but is apparently 5th in line for further inspection, so it'll likely be another week or so before it's ready. The grey delay keeps on rolling...🤔

Generality would be great.

I also received the pencils. I tried to get my kids excited about them and told them that they are the best pencils on the planet. It turns out that they much prefer mechanical pencils. Lol

My daughter, who is a mechanical pencil expert and general pencil snob, saw the Blackwing pencils and said Ooooh! Can I have them? I said “I thought you liked mechanical ones?“ She said “I do for taking notes, but these are the best for sketching!“

In a household of two "accountants by training", out first thought was where is the damn eraser. We have no appreciation for what these pencils are or aren't. They look nice, but have been sitting in the same box on the same shelf for months.

A hat would have have been better to us follically challenged individuals and might have gotten Lucid a little free advertising. Instead, they chose to send something that does have a little connection to the "art of design", but probably won't generate any questions from those out in the public. At least with a hat, there may have been some who ask "what is Lucid".

I suggested to my DA that, instead of Lucid giving swag to future owners, the company should just give people a gift certificate to the Lucid Store. He said he thought that was a good idea. Then people could pick what they wanted.

Grey / Tahoe / 21"
Order confirmed 2022-05-08

I was going to order white / santa cruz, but I'm pretty scared of those white carpets. I can't see keeping those clean in a New England winter, even with winter floor mats.

If a blue exterior option does become available before my car enters production I may change my exterior color.

Has anyone in Massachusetts gotten the 21" wheels? It seemed a shame to downgrade to the 19" wheels and not get some sort of discount for it. I will need a second set of 19's for winter though. I'm considering using the second set from my Tesla, if I can confirm they fit. I'll need to get new TPMS sensors though.

Hat comes with the car ;) along with a water bottle, tote bag and screen rag.

I can use that gasoline. Ten gallons might get me 100 miles in either one of my Mustangs. Hat would be useful in the convertible.

I really like the idea of a "Lucid Store gift card" to select your swag. BMW did that when I bought my M5, just told me to pick out $500 of merch from the Dealer store/parts department.

Hay Steve, I was stationed @ Litchfield Park Naval Air Station in 1959 when there were 6000 aircraft there. It was hooked to Goodyear plant and they used our runway for there B29
I will be over that way in June to pick up a Kitten from someone that lives nearby w/my new Gray GT.
