Gravity Touring deliveries starting next month?

Interestingly during the investor's call, Marc Winterhoff cited a situation where they encountered issues with the magnets for Gravities, so instead they opted to ship out Gravity Touring models for final assembly in the Saudi Arabia plant.
I will have to listen to the call, but my understanding is the Gravity Motors are identical between Touring and GT. The inverters are different because there is less power in the Touring. The magnets are the same for both Touring and GT. The Kyle Connor video with Emad talks a bit about this.

So anyone know the projected US price?

It’s $79,900, isn’t it? That’s what it says on Lucid’s site. That’s no leather, basic everything, etc.

Pretty attractive (depending on range) if they offer it with 2.99% still…

I actually only see GGT on the Lucid site both in the build section and compare section. Hmm...

It’s not easy to find, but the price is there - not the specs. Subject to change…

The Touring will have 18 modules in the battery pack versus 22 for the GT. Not counting efficiency improvement for the lower weight, that makes a range of 368. Accounting to the weight will bring it close to somewhere around 390 miles of range.
Totally agree, and that will be mostly on city route, since Aero drag is stronger effect in highway and they are the same profile. I do think on a road trip there will be nothing in it between the 2, assuming you both use the bottom of the pack and charge with Tesla SC.

Although without the incentive to get it to qualify for the tax credit I bet it ends of around 82500 base, accounting for price changes from tariff supply chain and other shenanigans...

I just hope they manage to squash a lot more bugs before it's released and we start seeing even wider adoption of the vehicle. Otherwise they're looking at a lot more negative reviews in the future.

Even at $79k its a lot of car though. I think they'll sell a bunch of them
You're kinda tough to read.
You think they'll sell a bunch of the Touring version, but you also believe they're the next Fisker. :)
And I'm just messing with you, so stay chill.

Oh I do think they will sell a lot of them. Fisker Ocean was an amazing SUV too and Fisker sold them all and went under.

But this isn't a thread about that so quit bringing it up.

I was re-listening to the Q3 2025 investors call at work, and I think this point came up at around the 10:00 minute mark

I disagree with your assessment but thank you for responding in kind, and for staying on topic! This type of response is perfect and all we ask for. :)

And the truth is if they can make this their Model Y, they’re set for life. I think any viable competitor to the Model Y will make a killing. I have one. It’s not a great car. It’s just unique.

Here is what Mark Winterhoff said about the magnet issue:
Over the last six months, we have contended with three consecutive industry-wide supply chain crises: magnets, aluminum, and chips. These are crises that set even far bigger competitors on their heels. However, thanks to our vertical integration and our team's agility and resourcefulness, we have been able to problem-solve our way through each one to limit impact. First, the magnet shortage in Q2. The magnets we were able to get were incompatible with our unique NACS boost charging drive units for Gravity. Hence, we had to temporarily shift our production plan from the Grand Touring trim for North America to the Touring trim for export to Saudi Arabia until magnet availability improved. Unfortunately, that impacted our Q3 production and delivery numbers simply because of the additional transport time needed.

So the Touring does use different magnets than the Grand Touring.

Or…do they not use the boosting tech in KSA as they’re not using NACS? I think that’s the answer even though he does say “Touring” for KSA. I think the boost is specific to NACS.

No, KSA uses CCS charging without the boost circuit. The boost circuit for North America is the difference, not touring versus GT.
