Gravity Vehicles Available Online

They now have more 22/23 than they need and are just scattering them around the country randomly thinking “Somebody will like the look and buy it without thinking about consequences.”
Not looking to debate it, just pointing out that not everyone thoroughly read all comments. Further this comment specifically states that AROUND the country refers to all parts, yes? So my comment is relevant, no? In AZ where i live, the 22/23 tires (and where you live in CA i would assume RandomDesign) would be fine even in what is called "cold weather", since we dont get snow but get what we would call cold areas like in upper elevations but not where we often run into snow.

i think what you may be thinking is what cold means to one person means the same to another. Which again i believe is incorrect to believe that assumed as a std type for all buyers.

My main critique however was the statement was all inclusive and at the same time dismissive(or atleast stating a decision from a 3rd party is bad) of that inclusivity, that i would merely state as incorrect.

No offense, but statements like this are terribly condescending. Though technically consequences can be positive, it’s not often associated as such. Thus the implication that 22/23 tires are BAD is patently false.
The 22/23 tires that are currently on the Gravity are “In my humble opinion” a bad choice if you live in Snow Country or Cold Country where it regularly gets down to or below freezing due to only tire choice (right now) is a Summer Only tire. It would be one thing if this was on a sports car that is going to be a toy that is only pulled out of garage on nice warm days. The Gravity is supposed to be a family daily driver to take kids to school, family out to dinner, mom/dad to work.

No offence but the person that didn't thorougly read comments is you, the original comment this was all based on was talking about 22/23 wheel cars available in Natick, MA where it's going to be snowing soon. Perhaps if you'd actually read where the conversation started you'd understand that "cold" meant actually cold places where it snows and where the Pirellis are a bad choice going into the winter.

I agree that for some people, for some areas of the country, the 22/23 option is perfectly acceptable. It just appears that Lucid did not think through where they were sending certain cars.

Yikes, you guys really need to take a breath. Rather than read ill intent, try to perhaps to understand what they are meaning or trying to convey. Very permissible to ask, if your not sure.

What is very disappointing is the number of individuals that are more interested in attacking vs discussing. But since it doesnt seem that a "counter" view, or point is appreciated. I can keep it to myself. You all arent that important to waste my time, continuing any further. But someone, you can bet money on, would have appreciated the counter point.

I make a living as an Enterprise Architect with my sole job being the "10th" man. Its an interesting philosophy that i encourage every IT organization to employ but really any enterprise should IMHO. Stay chill everyone....

come on man... we all know that topics evolve in a thread, even from one comment to the next. So no, again, you assumed i didnt, but i did read it. You assumed that everyone would read/understand cold the same, and wont. I personally am a big fan of Pirellis, live in AZ, plan on driving in cold weather, and DONT believe they are bad tires. So there's that....but hey im nobody, right?

Pirelli says you should switch out summer tires at 45F. Arizonans have a unique definition of cold. lol.

I thought it was 35 or 38 but admittedly its been a minute since i look that up for my model X and i dont even change them to do a quick ski trip at 11k, even knowing it might be below those temps overnight.

but yes, my wife who has lived here all her life believes anything under 55 is cold and since she has to live with temps in the highs over 110 for over 40 total days each summer and temps never dropping below 100 for literally an entire month, ill give her the pass of having different views since its subjective.

she probably thinks someone saying that 80s are hot is crazy. unless they live somewhere thats normal to be considered hot. I guess culture determines what "normal" is for a definition and not an arbitrary view of any one individual.

Ok, so you did read it and are just being contrary for no reason other than to be contrary. I'd say 99% of people would read "cold" and not assume the person was talking about Arizona or SoCal but places that snow.

okay kiddo, you obv have nothing more to offer me, enjoy the narrow view in life....

ill leave my original comment to illustrate, my follow up. I expect everyone to own their actions, myself included. My comment was rude and i sincerely apologize.

A look at the GGT Tracking Log shows that the 22/23 options was only selected by about 10% of orders. Yet a look at available vehicles shows that about 40% of those are 22/23. My guess is that Lucid had to place wheel orders from manufacturer a year ago (before orders started coming in that would have given them an idea of different size demands) and so just guessed by ordering 1/3 of each. They now have more 22/23 than they need and are just scattering them around the country randomly thinking “Somebody will like the look and buy it without thinking about consequences.”
Then keep them in the south! Someone will buy one of these inventory units in MA, go flying off the road into a huge lithium battery fire next month, and then it'll be both a liability AND a PR issue for Lucid. I would guess it's hard to argue against the idea that selling summer tires in the snow isn't negligent.

This car in Chicago is available for the past couple of days and still not gone..It's a good package, wondering why the sudden slowness..

Chicago has hd a few really nice ones just sitting there. They’ve had this 5 seater with the tech pack listed for at least a week now.

If I am spending for this many upgrades, I would definitely want to spend $1300 more to get the leather seats. As it is configured, it's black inside out :)

I was tempted by this as I want almost this exact build, but I can’t get over the unfinished trunk space in the 5 seat option. Maybe it’s me and a stupid hill to die on, but for this well thought out and pricey car - not even the cheapo piece of fabric to close off the back seat from trunk, like get it together Lucid! Nice redirect too! 👍

I asked a couple of SAs. They said there will be an option to purchase a winter wheel package in the future, but did not have an ETA and did not seem optimistic that it would be available for this winter (which basically starts now for me).
Yeah, we just had the first snow of the season this week here in Lake Tahoe.

huh, that 5-seater is basically what I ordered, but in black. Guess I could give up the Quantum Grey for that if the could add the tow package to it at a service center. Maybe.
