2026 Lucid Gravity GT
Just saw this pop up. Such a good, real review of the gravity with what really matters to consumers.

Motor trend Lucid Gravity Review
(Starts at 43 mins).

I sincerely hope Lucid Significantly prioritizes focus on the software. This is exactly what will make them successful.

Lucid is a car with software, versus Tesla- a computer on wheels.

Kyle annoys me because he's so impressed with himself that he presents his opinions as facts. And he admittedly nit-picks things and presents them as major flaws. But he likes to nit-pick because he thinks he's smarter than everyone else. Just something about the way he presents himself has always annoyed me. Like that know-it-all kid in school that liked to go around correcting people.

Anyway, I have no doubt software will improve. The Air's software was a mess for a couple years but is praised now.

You are 100% right. Been using my gravity for a couple of days now, and barring a couple of minor issues, it’s great.

Yes, Kyle can come across as smug, but I don’t blame him. he has his opinions.

I’m not trying to complain or rehash issues that are covered in other threads. I truly want Lucid to accelerate the pace of fixing them. Going from 3.3.1 to 3.3.2 was amazing. I’m enjoying the car every day. I can’t wait till they start adding all these amazing features.

Kyle even picked this over the Rivian, and the Escalade. That’s how good of a product this is already.

As I said, Air's software was a mess for a good two years. I think Gravity's will improve a lot faster since it's their main vehicle now. I hope mine comes in before year's end.

I'm a Kyle fan. He mentioned he experienced the key card and fob bug and was stuck for 20 minutes. I feel like a lot of other reviewers wouldn't mention stuff like that because they want to automakers to keep giving them press cars. I definitely see why they didn't include him in the early reviews!
The Gravity on paper perfectly matches his taste in cars (which is very similar to mine) and it sounds like he's considering buying one even though he wouldn't recommend it to someone else yet. I hope he does.

I 100% agree about Kyle. Exactly why I can’t stand him though he is knowledgeable. He’s just such an a— about it.

I do think he tries to be objective and he’s FAR more legit than Doug.

Sorry but I am going to use the word everyone hates for people to use, but some people need to get off their “Fanboy” high horse and accept criticism from a very knowledgable reviewer. First, Kyle is a HUGE Lucid fan and in the end acknowledged that Gravity was his favorite EV SUV of the various choices they discussed. But he gave a very frank opinion of the current state of Gravity’s software development. It SUCKS and needs improvement. Fortunately faulty software is fixable. Faulty hardware is much harder to fix. I am confident that it will get fixed, but it will require patience from the early adopters. I am OK with going through these growing pains but I have a feeling it will be 6+ months before I will feel comfortable sending my wife off on a road trip by herself.

Gravity's software is orders of magnitude better than where Air's was when I first got it, or even a few years ago. It's definitely not perfect, but the baseline is much higher than what it was when I got my Air.

Again, I will reiterate: disagreeing with someone does not make them a fanboy. Can we please, please, please get over this nonsense?

You think the software sucks. Fine. I get that. You, Kyle, and everyone else are entitled to their opinion.

Some other folks may disagree with you as to how bad it is, largely because you may care about things they don't, and vice-versa.

I will once again use the example, in Air, of Sirius XM... I do not care. I have absolutely no idea if it works right now, at all. It is not a thing that I will ever care about. It can break, and I would never know unless I read about it here. But someone else who really cares about it will say the software sucks, because the thing they want doesn't work as well. That's fine.

That doesn't make anyone a fanboy or hater.

It just means you disagree. So just say you disagree.

It's interesting to watch this video and notice what is NOT there.... ZERO road noise... the conversation is so clear.... Amazingly smooth and quiet!!

It made me go and search up a OOS review youtube of Rivian R1S and I could hear the road noise in that one.

However, I did hear the rain... am puzzled by that...

I realized today - I had a voracious appetite for any possible Gravity video or info for so long!!! Then I got my Gravity. Couldn’t care any less about videos or reviews now. Can’t really even watch them.

Love my Gravity and just enjoy driving it!

They're all wearing mics. Though they did mention they were going 120mph at one point. 😲

This isn't acceptable for a second vehicle to say "wait 2 years". Yes, the Air could be given a free pass as it was Lucid's first model and I know they've overhauled the software in the Gravity but the bugs that are occurring just shows that Lucid's QA \ QC is lacking. Kyle is right, this car has been out for 9 months and these little bugs should have been squashed long ago.

I agree but some of the bugs are just plain stupid. How on earth can you not send an address from your phone to the car and have it figure out how to navigate that address when it's been available on the Air for years. Can't save an LED lighting profile, etc. it's little things, but when they've been producing these cars since December last year it's kind of becoming hard to defend Lucid on the software front. The bugs are nothing major like we saw on the Air, they're little enough to be not a dealbreaker but happen constantly enough to just be plain annoying.

When it comes to Kyle, I find it hilarious in here that when he's 100% pro Lucid everyone is cheering but the moment he's says something critical then out come the daggers. I don't think his comments were unreasonable, he loves the Gravity but lets call a spade a spade, Lucid needs to get its act together on software! There's no question about that. Yes, Kyle can nitpick but it's not like he's lying the car has software issues. I keep going back to this example, but is 9 months acceptable to not be able to fix a bug that can't send addresses from your phone and have the car navigate to that address? I would say it's definitely not acceptable and this is the issue, it's Lucid's slowness to react on bugs like that, which is the real concern.

Kyle's got a list, some of it will be legit and others will be nitpicking which he openly admits he does but how many more lists are going to start coming out as the car becomes more readily available for reviewers to get its hands on.

Just need a fix fob issues with gravity

Totally agree. Exactly the point that I was trying to make in my post above that got me scolded by Borski. People on this forum have been raving about Kyle’s reviews of the Gravity for the past 9+ months, but have him come up with one critique and he is suddenly a pompous know it all. I guess since you are a Gravity owner and I am still waiting patiently for mine, you can get away with critiques of the software and I can’t. So going forward I will keep all opinions of software to myself until I have my car. Hoping that by that time software is sorted out and my only comment is to apologize for my misguided opinions.

I think this sums it up

“The bugs are nothing major like we saw on the Air, they're little enough to not be a dealbreaker but happen constantly enough to just be plain annoying”

So in other words you just need to have patience but admittedly even my patience is starting to wear thin on items that haven’t been addressed for months. I have also been extremely lucky with my key fob, 99% of the time it works.

I never said "wait two years". I literally said it would improve a lot faster.
