I found one in Canton, GA. I live in South Carolina. They were extremely helpful and sent me to a local shop (the owners of each shop are friends) to see if the roof is glass or polycarbonate. He said that the film does not stick well to polycarbonate. Going to see if my SA has any info regarding this

It wasn't until later I realized that dragging the stupid thing off had put a bunch of small scratches in the paint. It ended up getting buffed out when they did some paint correction for ceramic coat, but if anyone puts a bow on my car again I will be annoyed.

Typically, I agree. But since I’d seen so few Gravity prior to getting mine, and it was in private, it was cool and unique.

For Tesla, our 2022 X had the bow and our name - along with all eight that were lined up next to each other for delivery that day, so really didn’t feel cool or special.

I'm sure some here that has the car in hand can answer that for you - I'm picking mine up this week. But if it's like the Air roof, then it's some kind of safety glass.

Also important, is to get the windshield tinted (which is glass). The 70% is the lightest they have, and it may technically not be allowed in your state, but it's really not noticeable. The roof glass already has a factory tinting. I would go with 70% on that too if you want to have more visibility, but 50% also works, and you still won't notice much light reduction. Many tints boast about UV rejection (which the Lucid glass already has), but what you are looking for is IR or better TSER rejection.

As for PPF, my installer (Cactus Auto Tint) uses the Clear Guard Alpha PPF and says that it's only a few hundred dollars more expensive than the best XPEL. It really has a great liquid shine and has ceramic coating built in.

After research, there are no installers near me. Right now (unless anyone in the forum has a better suggestion), I'm going to get the XPel ppf and have a ceramic coat applied. The dealer said that would cost an extra $350.

You may want to reach out to your preferred installer and see if they want to become a dealer. That's what I had done 12 years ago when I wanted PhotoSync installed on my Tesla. Since they didn't even have an installer in AZ at the time, the installer (Cactus Auto Tint) was able to contact Prestige and the rest is history, as they say.
 
After getting some financing from USAA, sent funding info to Lucid. Looks like accounts receivable did not know how to handle 3rd party financing and sat on the request for 6 days. Wired a rather large sum of money a couple of days later for the remainder and we were set for delivery of Sept 30th - golden. Well, that did not happen. Lucid AR waited until last minute to reach out to get funds from USAA. Therefore, they did not ship car until all funds where processed. Right now, looking like Thursday delivery. At this point, who knows. My appointment to get front windshield film protection is cancelled and I go on vacation this Friday. All the while, Costa Mesa Studio and my SA in Denver are awesome and working hard to ship out vehicle today for Thursday delivery. We shall see if they come through. Looking like a late trip to California.
 
i picked up my Gravity GT today!! wow so nice. Black, Ojai, 5 seater, 20” wheels, fully loaded.

Okay. So 9/30 is almost done. Anyone scheduled for delivery later this week? Hoping production ramp keeps going!

Sorry @boydracing - Lucid took a while to verify my wire (just cash from bank to Lucid), so I get the frustration.

Now, there have been 50+ cars on the available site for several days. Most have strange configs. I wonder if Lucid will continue to post or chill out starting tomorrow as it won’t look great to have inventory just sitting there…

If Lucid ever comes out with the mesh sunscreens for your glass roof grab those!

I spent several hundred dollars to get the glass roof on my Air tinted with the latest state-of-the-art, supah-dupah, gold-plated, digital, whatever, whatever, the world has never seen anything like it, film.

The results were…okay…but no tint job has blocked out the heat and sunlight as effectively as those mesh shades Lucid put out for the Air two years ago. Cost at time of purchase, about $250.

By the way I did get a partial XPEL PPF wrap as well as ceramic coating on my car.

You would think they could go to the order summary sticky here and see what people want, most people want most of the toys. The only real dispersion is in colors and towing. Yeah, I really want the tech package; but no I don't want just that.
 
Apparently 3rd row seats are a supply constraint because a lot of the inventory cars are 5 seaters.

If you believe the supply constraint theory, that is.
 
I also took Delivery today of Gravity GT. (Sept 30th) DOES anyone has info on a 5 seater but the back row still has tracks.. I thought there wouldnt be tracks, because they don't need to move forward... Did I get a Car that was GOING to be a 7 seater but then they just shipped it as a 5.? I wanted 5, so i dont care, but it was interesting and not what i expected to see.

Here’s my Dream Edition 145…..which I couldn’t take home because Bank of America failed to send payment despite several hours of promising they would. It’s unreal as I thought that’s what banks did, send $. Lucid Natick sales team are amazing and wasted hours of their time with Rep after Rep of Bank of America saying they were expediting and would send payment by a certain time and then failed to do so, and then another rep told me they’d send payment tomorrow. So Lucid gave me a loaner and is going to deliver the Gravity to my home or work as soon as they get paid.

Does anyone have a picture of the Stealth Appearance on Aurora Green Metallic? My car has been in production since August 18, but today my SA called with bad news—it’s having a charging issue and there’s no ETA for the fix. He offered me a car with the same configuration, except it has the Stealth Appearance instead of Platinum. I really liked how the Platinum Appearance looked on Aurora Green Metallic.

Just google Lucid Gravity and look at the pics. 90% of the pics on the web are of Aurora Green with Stealth appearance. It is by far the most common color combo right now.

I did and they all look like Platinum Appearance, similar to the one they have in the Studio.
