I have seen this if some door is not fully closed - car warning you to take a second looks I guessYou probably pressed the button twice, or did it after it was already locked.

No issues for me after the update.I noticed strange behavior after 2.8.4 update. I was wondering if anyone had the same experience.
I am still on my 3 year EA charging plan. On 2 separate occasions the car would not do hand shake and authorize payment for free charging. There was an error message displaying "Payment not authorized for this drive" or something similar. It prompt me to disconnect and reconnect then use the app to select charger. However, on the second charging attempt when using the app it was showing totally wrong location (from previous charging session) and I couldn't select correct stall. After a little struggle I decided to restart my phone and only then I was able to select correct stall. I rarely had any charging issues previously at EA. It appears to me that after 2.8.4 can't do the proper handshake. More testing required to collect more data points to be sure. However, this is what I noticed after 2 charging attempts. Anyone else having the same problem?

Thank you for the confirmation. I am noticing exactly the same behavior. Maybe that is why Lucid put 2.8.4 rollout on pause. I am glad that there is a work around but it is a major headache. Also multiple $25 Credit Card temp holds for each unsuccessful handshake are annoying.Yes. Post 2.8.4 update, my partner and I set out on what would turn out to be a 2400 mile road trip, from San Diego CA to Portland OR and back. We charged at an EA station three times going up, and five times coming back. Additional stops were necessary on the return because we did a side trip to Monterey CA and Big Sur CA, and because I didn’t want to end up back in my garage with less than 10% remaining.
NOT ONCE did the automatic handshake go as it had before. Every single time, I would get an error message on the charging stall and in my car. I would have to unplug, wait for the stall to reset, open my Lucid app, select a charger station, and try again. Often, through the app, I would get the car to start charging on the second try. Sometimes it would take me a third try.
Up until this latest road trip, I had only once or twice before, had to start my car EA charging by first connecting through the Lucid app.
Other than the mildly disappointing experience above, I had a pretty good experience relying on the EA charging network, only waiting for a charging stall to open twice, and in both cases, for less than ten minutes.
Yup, experienced exactly this issue at my normally reliable EA charging bank. No handshake on first try, pulled the plug & reinserted and then used the app to select the correct stall.Yes. Only once on my 26 right after the update, and was resolved by a reboot. I only use Apple though.I don't know if it is related. Since 2.8.4 update, I have had several incidents where my 2022 AGT 's main display (center console, speed, etc.) won't start up after I unlocked the car. The right side display (where Android Auto is) seems fine and turns on. Sometimes, it takes several seconds (5-10 sec) before the center display turns on. Other time, I have to turn off the car and try to restart it again.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I've noticed screen delays as well. Pilot panel seems fine but the others can be slow to start. Haven't had to reboot, though.I don't know if it is related. Maybe it is Lucid's subtle nudge for us to spring for the $950 CPU/memory upgrade?!I've noticed screen delays as well. Pilot panel seems fine but the others can be slow to start. Haven't had to reboot, though.

I did the CCC upgrade and with 2.8.4 I've had an issue where the car came on, everything except the pilot panel, it was just a black screen. So I had to reboot. That was a new oneMaybe it is Lucid's subtle nudge for us to spring for the $950 CPU/memory upgrade?!![]()
Seems that the updated app 2.8.2 version (September 22) fixed the charging authorization handshake issue. I am still on the 2.8.4 and was able to charge at EA successfully after plugging first time.
If you do not trust Lucid why do you own one? The company has demonstrated consistent efforts to improve our vehicles with OTAs and service efforts. My guess is that they didn't make any changes, just bumped up 2.8.0 to 2.8.4 to quiet down the people that complain there were no updates recently.
