'23 Air Pure AWD. Update completed. I notice no changes one way or the other. It seems so odd to me how some people can have post-update issues and others have none... and nothing seems traceable back to a common thread, such as model, year or feature set.

Me too! Happened a couple weeks ago and ignored it because of travels. Did a factory reset and after that the car reverted to sw 1.1.4; Proceeded to install the latest sw from the app notification but that failed and says "Unable to install due to technical error". Car is not bricked by any means and drives fine fyi. I wish there was an option to reinstall the most recent working firmware the car had. A call to CS when Im back with car is now warranted!

My 2.8.4 update has been fine, no noticeable changes, except I think it may have helped with my sore shoulder.

Never, ever, ever factory reset. Factory reset resets it to literally the state when it left the factory, software and all.

Your car will now almost certainly have to go to service so it can be updated to the latest software.

We had to cancel or postpone two road trips in our new Gravity, and on the one we finally took the car had to be left 600 miles behind for a rear drive unit replacement. Today is my birthday, and we are picking up friends tonight to join a gathering. The Gravity is in the shop again, the Air has now crapped out, and I've got to get the Odyssey cleared of its dog paraphernalia and cleaned up a bit so that we can take it instead.

I'm getting really sick and tired of this. I've been a loyal Lucid fan since the brand first landed, but there's only so much more of this I'm going to put up with. I'm tired of a calendar filled with service appointments. I'm tired of never knowing what new and unsettling warning or software hiccough I'm going to be encountering. I'm tired of changing plans to work around whatever misbehavior a Lucid is in the mood for.

I know I'm just venting at this point . . . but damn it all. Enough is enough. I don't care any more how much fun the cars can be to drive on the days they're working.

You have been incredibly understanding of issues with your Lucids, I do not blame you for the frustration because this level of problems should not be occurring.

For me the option came back about 24 hours later and updated fine, 2026 Air
 
2023 Air Touring. Updated to 2.8.4 two days ago. No problems but haven't noticed any changes either.
 
Updated to 2.8.4 the morning it was released, and my everything has been great since. Perhaps even less problems with CarPlay and lock/unlock.
 
Well I just updated without incident. Def looking more robust in the driveway. It still needs a wash tho...
 
Aw, shucks. Nope. Deep-sleep Mode had the audio completely OFF again and required a soft-reset.
I had accomplished a soft-reset after the Robustness Update 2.8.4 de Luxe.

There was a rumor Lucid is aware of the No Audio "featurette" of deep-sleep, usually after charging. It's all the time now. Doesn't happen when not plugged in, I noticed. Weird.

My '23 Air Touring won't start Android Auto anymore after the 2.8.4 update. I tried unpairing the phone from the car and re-pairing it. It is able to pair with no issues, but when I try to start AA, it shows its connecting, then I get an error on the right cockpit console saying it wasn't able to connect. This is via wireless connection. Haven't yet tried using a USB cable. Anyone else having this issue after the 2.8.4 update?
 
Driven a few days with it. Haven't seen anything odd, or anything improved. It's similar to the Tesla updates I used to get, with a similar procedure. But those usually took days or a week or so to show up, but I got this update a couple of hours after I became aware of it. Likely because Lucid has a lot fewer cars to update. Would love to see a few features added tho, I miss radar on the navigation screen. Very helpful and a safety enhancer. Miss the beeps when traffic lights turn green, but I still would not go back to my Model S. If Lucid cleans up the software on the Air and the Gravity they will have even more of a winner.

Did you try turning Bluetooth off and on in the car's settings? If that doesn't work, then reboot the infotainment.
 
got the update a couple of days ago. Saw the notification as I drove off to work. I considered waiting to get home but took a chance and started it as I parked to get to work. Honestly did not expect to see anything new with Robustness - likely was going to be beneath the surface and "invisible" to the untrained eye... I am obviously untrained...or blind, because I have seen not change but the update was uneventful. Maybe instead of looking out, I should feel around for more robustness.
 
After the update, I started seeing the rear camera error on cockpit panel. It started working again after soft reset .
 
My car has worked very well from the beginning, so I suspect I won't see any obvious changes. I don't really use the infotainment in my car because it is the opposite of inviting.

Looks like the Air logo soft reset fixed the issue! Once the infotainment booted back up, I pressed the AA option on the media screen to connect and it did so without any issues. Thank you!

Ok so I think I might have figured something out. If I have (or had recently) something playing on my iPhone (like music, video, or Netflix) it defaults to a paused version of that in the car and switches to CarPlay source. Annoyingly. As you describe. I repeated that three times. If I “kill” the app playing media on the iPhone and return to the car, it resumes Spotify no issue. See if you can repeat that?
