After over a year of ownership, I still don't understand the entry/approach software of this car

Here's the post "since then" when you said you didn't even have the app installed anymore: https://lucidowners.com/threads/27gb-android-mobile-app.12564/post-274019

And the phone you said you switched to "since then" is literally two weeks old.

C'mon bruh.
That was June, and due to an issue with the Android app that was quickly resolved, after which everyone who removed it (or downgraded) reinstalled the app.

Perhaps you should consider believing what people say, rather than calling them liars. Bruh.

Even if he’s wrong, he’s not lying about his personal experience with the setting on his phone.

@borski is correct.
I uninstalled the app for a week or so until the fixed version came out.
Since then, the app has remained on "Unrestricted" on both my old phone, and my new phone.
Yes I understand. Point being, the current streak you're on is a maximum of two weeks since you literally just got a new phone. It's not "since then" which you said to make it seem like it's a resolved issue. And you've done this multiple times, like this post you made DAYS after you said you uninstalled the app: https://lucidowners.com/threads/and...stricted-background-battery.12132/post-274699

It's not fixed and I'm 100% positive it will revert back to optimized. You talk so frequently about using a FOB I'm not even sure you have mobile key/passive unlock configured to be an applicable use-case. Do you?

OK, so my two cents: I am sorry for the unacceptable experiences for apparently many Air owners. The door locks are not perfect and require some patience, but I do not let such annoyances spoil my use and enjoyment of my AGT. Like many here I have owned flawless or nearly flawless vehicles like Porsches, Audis, BMWs and MBs, but each had its own character and delivered different ownership experiences. I compromised little to own my Lucid over nearly three years and it has served me very well despite the annoyances we may have endured. We would not own such vehicles unless we had a need for more than just basic transportation. To me the remedy is clear for those who cannot tolerate the apparent inconvenience.

We're going to differ on my experience with the phone app. Maybe I haven't posted often enough to keep you up to date.

Fair point about the two weeks on my new Pixel 10 phone, though after that flurry of "Optimized" posts by myself and others in June, I believe my old Pixel 9 phone stuck to Unrestricted.
If I do notice my new phone switching back to Optimized, I'll try to remember to post that in the old thread.

I switched to using the mobile key a couple months ago. It's been working well enough lately that its occasional unreliability is less inconvenient than carrying the fob. When it doesn't work, I have to pull the phone out of my pocket and bring the Lucid app to the foreground.

Sounds good. And FWIW, I'm also on a new Pixel 10 Pro now. When this thread reignited the issue, I retested (as I did when I got the phone) and the swap from Unrestricted to Optimized happened in about 6 hours.

I didn't update the thread either because it was "same ol'", but I'll keep it in that topic going forward.

Interesting. I was hoping that after a couple app updates, a new phone OS version, and three monthly OS patches, the random switch back to Optimized would've been fixed. Seems not.
