Lease return excess wear & tear

My lease return was processed today at the King of Prussia service center.... (it was dropped off Sat but they must have just got to it) ... I'll be finding out soon enough what the outcome is.
I got my inspection report yesterday and had $0 in charges.... though, this was done again by AutoVINLive, so I *think* BoA is still going to be doing their inspection, which was been the real stickler.

I do find it semi comical that both inspections have noted the 'mismatched tire sizes' , despite it being exactly as it came from the factory.

Possible good news. We'll have to wait to know for sure but the saga isnt over.

The person on the phone stated, a new final invoice was just mailed out yesterday. I asked if it was different from the one I have and he said yes, but would not say on the phone what has changed. Only that I should call back after I receive it.

I would call that progress. However for it to not be a "one off", I'd like to know if any other forum members have received updated Final Invoices. Plus who knows what's in the final invoice. The condition report that's still available on Autovinlive still shows the same amount as it did back in July.
Looks like I spoke too soon. Received another invoice today. Amount was reduced from $5,820.38 to $5,235.38. No explanation for the reduction was given. The condition report I’ve already shared in earlier posts has not changed at all.

I’m assuming this is being done as some kind of courtesy without acknowledgment of any kind of errors or wrong doing (standard corporate stuff).

I'm gonna make one final phone call and probably pay this and just move on with my life. Those who think changes are being made at Lucid or that they're taking this seriously, make what you want of this.

I would have been a Lucid customer for life. They would have made much more than $5k from me over the next several years but this is the path they've chosen. Selling whatever stock I have left and washing my hands off this brand permanently.

As I thought, they just waited for the press attention to pass and swept it under the rug.

What a bummer - apparently the belief is that you’ll take the $500 reduction and you’ll like it. Sorry you have to exit stage left with this sour taste in your mouth.

If you shear a sheep you can get wool for life. If you skin a sheep you only get to do it once.

Not good. They didn't even give you any explanation? This is what Lucid needs to be focused on right now; not Timothy 😔.

Sounds like folks need to take this into consideration at lease end whether it’s worth buying it out. It may make sense to buy it, hang on another year or two, then sell privately or trade it in. It’s really impossible to know, though. Personally I plan on just buying mine unless the company goes under or my car starts having major problems

I did consider it. However my residual was $58k. No way I was buying it. Trade in value at the time was right around $40k. That said, wrongfully charging for normal wear and tear is NOT the way to encourage people to make a bad financial decision on top of the bad financial decision to lease a Lucid.
