Too Frustrating

You are impossible to please. Go buy another car for static and compression hell on SXM. Tesla ended SXM via sat, and many other manufacturers as well.

Cellular networks across the country (and I’ve just been on a cross country trip) have become very reliable even in rural communities. It’s a non issue.

Don’t get me started on the key, let’s just say they’ve always worked on my Air. Gravity sounds like it’ll be much the same after a few updates. Give Lucid some time, they have been and continue to be studiously working towards solutions.
I don't agree with how you're invalidating his POV, to which I agree with him, and would disagree to your comment on AT&T's cellular infrastructure. Also, it's not growing. Lucid's cellular tech is limited to LTE so it's not expanding since what, 2019? Not all experiences are the same, while I'm glad you and some others are happy with the car and how it functions, others obviously are not. By the same logic does that mean we start shamming you and your experiences? Saying they don't matter bc of ours? I hope you just muttered "that's insane" because that's how you come off.

Am I invalidating his POV or just pointing out that @Batteryman continually mentions the key "sucking" for at least 4 pages, 80 entries amongst numerous threads?

Yeah I am tired of beating the dead horse... leave the poor thing alone. And spare me in hearing about it.

Well, I never knew Lucid didn’t have satellite, thought they never compromised.
It also doesn’t have a gas engine and doesn’t fly, just in case you were wondering about other compromises they made.

I can post positives and negatives. Let me do that for every negative post. Shows you I am very fair in my assessment.

Best drivers sedan ever made! Makes me smile even after almost 3 years. Best combination of looks, performance, luxury, space efficiency and handling.Absolutely no regrets in buying this car.

But keys suck, no satellite radio and they introduced car with an underperforming computer that was upgraded in 2025.

It’s good to be honest in negative comments about the car, that’s the only way Lucid executives can improve on future iterations and future models. They have done a fantastic job, mostly- but keys suck, no satellite radio.
I love how we can tell when you are buying it and when you are shorting it! :)

But you can't stream with no cell service. Road trip frequently across the empty stretches of WY, UT, NV, etc and streaming is useless for hours at a time, except for a few minutes passing thru a town.

We're coming from a Mustang Mach-E and a Porsche Macan

It's sort of ironic that you mention the upgraded computer. Is that supposed to be a negative? In 2015 I bought my first Tesla Model S. In 2017 they came out with an upgraded CPU that I then had to pay for if I wanted the new features that it supported. Has there ever been a computer produced that 2 years later wasn't considered underperforming? I believe that's called progress.
Oh no way man...still reading this and other stuff online on a 286!....not ;P

Some value refined ride and handling quality some doesn't.

Thank you for sharing your experience on your very first post the very first day signing up.
Come on, don't be a gatekeeper. The whole hope has been that Gravity would brings new owners to the brand. Now one of those new owners is here and you're blaming him for being frustrated in his buggy car? Why on earth would you blame the owner for that and not Lucid for delivering an unpolished/unpolished car?

Because they came in here just to rant and then disappeared. They also made complaints about the car for things Lucid never promised it did. like ANY car company with a new model, the first ones off the line will come with issues & frustrations (some more than others) and if you've got no patience for it then you stay clear of a new model until at least 1 year into production.

I guess it appears you post more negative because you repeat the same issues 100 times over so it's hardly fair at all. The computer was fine at the time Lucid designed the car and is the same process that all other automakers follow. Tell me though, how many automakers actually let you upgrade the computer vs telling you "If you want a faster computer, updated software then you need to buy the new model"? The answer is next to none so we can see how once again you turned something Lucid is doing as a positive into a negative.
I’m realistic, they made big mistakes with software.

. . . then you stay clear of a new model until at least 1 year into production.

Which is why I wish Lucid would quit building Dream Editions only at the outset of production. They are not just cosmetic upgrades. They bring real performance boosts that some buyers seriously want.

It's notable that other automakers, especially the Germans, generally bring their performance versions of a new model (AMG, M, R/RS) to the market only a year or so after a new model is introduced. Our MB SL55 AMG only became available in the second year of production. Our Mazda RX7 Turbo the same. Our Audi S6 the same. Our Audi R8 V10 the same.

Nobody’s denying Lucid made mistakes with software, but repeating it on a loop doesn’t make you ‘realistic’, it just makes you sound like a broken record. Constructive feedback moves the conversation forward, constant whining on the same issue(s) over and over again does not.

I agree! It's great they released the Sapphire trim, but realistically that's such a huge price jump that the market appeal is pretty limited. Maybe the Dream editions add enough complexity to manufacturing that it's just not worth it for them? But if so, why build them to start? I don't understand it.

Precisely. I couldn’t have said it better.

I’m sorry, but the broken record is the messy Air release and now the messy Gravity release. Lucid can’t seem to get a handle on this. Momentum has seems to have gone from the company. I would be very surprised if midsize goes well. They need to rethink their approach.

Vehicles are fantastic without the bugs.

Hope they announce a new CEO soon who can fix all these issues- especially supply chain.

And advertising….still most people don’t know what a Lucid is. Compare that to Rivian!

Lucid needs to do better!

This reminds me of someone on the forum being chastised by other posters for endlessly complaining about Lucid not starting Gravity deliveries soon enough. Funny, though. I can't remember just who that was. 🤔

You could just start copying and pasting your past posts. It would save you time.

You’ll get moderated either way, but at least if you copied and pasted it would only waste our time and not also yours.

Honestly, I was just surprised not to see the key mentioned…

I have no use for the "drive by" posters who come in here, rant rant rant, and try to damage the Lucid brand, then disappear. They don't want help--they're mad and they want to "get even."

The folks who come in here with serious car problems and genuinely want help and advice are entirely welcome in my opinion. Those folks deserve all the support we can give them.
