It is my understanding that Gravity has plug and charge enabled at both Tesla and EA chargers. Will plug and charge comprehend if one has the charging subscriptions with either of these companies , for instance a Pass+ membership with EA.
Right now it will not recognize your membership at either EA or Tesla. However, Lucid has said that they are working on that.It is my understanding that Gravity has plug and charge enabled at both Tesla and EA chargers. Yes, if you do it this way, you get your membership benefits, except....I think you have to plug in first at EA, so that wouldn't work as it would start charging....In the meantime, I believe that if you initiate the charge using the EA or Tesla app, then plug in, you'll get the subscriber rate.
I typically initiate with the app at EA before plugging in. It works fine, no matter what the charging stall screen says when you arrive.Yes, if you do it this way, you get your membership benefits, except....I think you have to plug in first at EA, so that wouldn't work as it would start charging....
It’s not the update; check your lucid charging service summary… does it look like this?So up until I installed 3.3.1 I was able to plug and charge at my local EA DC fast chargers. Since the update I now get repeated errors and then the car says I need to do another step on the Lucid app to select the charger. It works but WTF! The update unimproved my charging experience, why?
I think it might be just a legacy EA problem.. As much as they claim to have improved things, there still seem to be a lot of stations that have crappy and unreliable equipment. I tried my first EA charge today (at a 350 KW station), and the plug and charge worked fine, but only got 71kw charging on a 50% SOC battery. EA still sucks.I tried using an EA charger today at the Florida Mall in Orlando. I tried every iteration including paying with a credit card and using the EA app. No joy. Went to the Tesla chargers next door and plugged and charged.
Were you at a 350kW station, or 150kW?Did a quick test today at a EA station- 150KW was all that was available....
In general, with a Gravity, a CCS charging stop with four stalls or less is going to be your last resort. There were 3 of the 4 chargers at this location that were 350 KW. The only one free was the 150KW one.....
I’ve charged at multiple EAs with both vehicles and the Lucid adapter; you had a bad station. I’ll usually hold it up until the charge starts just out of habit, but if it didn’t lock inside the port that was a bad cable/station.So tried another charge at a 350kw EA charge station (6 stalls). Failed because the cable kept pulling the adapter out of the charge socket. Cale is just too heavy. I could of course stood there and held the thing up so it would stayed connected! The adapter Lucid provides is a pretty sorry design. Anyone know of an alternative that will stay put?
Huh, so I guess the NACS connection doesn't lock like the CCS?I’ve charged at multiple EAs with both vehicles and the Lucid adapter; you had a bad station. I’ll usually hold it up until the charge starts just out of habit, but if it didn’t lock inside the port that was a bad cable/station.
The Lucid adapter works fine with EA.
It should. The car should take care of locking the cable. If it doesn’t, something is wrong.Huh, so I guess the NACS connection doesn't lock like the CCS?
So how is the power cable disconnecting if it is locked? Is it separating from the adapter? It should. The car should take care of locking the cable. If it doesn’t, something is wrong.
The little button next to the charge port is the cable unlock button, fwiw.
