Good afternoon, I took my Lucid out first my first drive. I drive 3 miles and I get this. Luckily I just pulled out of a parking lot and I went right back in. I called Lucid support and the service center is closed until Tuesday, so I had to have the car towed hone. Not the best way to start my ownership.

Sorry to hear that, hope they take care of you.

Wow, sorry to hear that. It sure does sound like Lucid QC needs to get up to speed and quickly. At this point, I wish I'd get my car delivered with 50 miles of QC testing done on it...

...and ouch. That song reminding you to be nice about your brand new bricked vehicle. ;-) Hope they get you back on the road soon with little hassle.

Thank you. I hope so.

This is a pre-owned 32K mile vehicle from Lucid site or 3rd party purchase?

I bought it from a dealer, not from Lucid.
OK, to some extent you might be getting an improved process by having a Lucid Service Center look over the car for you, on new cars they do a Pre-delivery inspection. Hopefully your issue is relatively easy to solve.

Hmm...I wish you had made it clear this was not a new car and I wouldn't have blamed Lucid QC. I didn't notice odometer.

But given the issues with others, my point is probably still valid about them needing to improve QC. ;-)

Sorry to read about your problem.
This is a challenging situation as some legacy dealerships don't know much about their own EVs, let alone a different brand.
While your car at Lucid Service Center, you should ask them about the maintenance which we pay for annually.
Not knowing much about the car's driving history, I personally would also ask them to do an alignment.
Verify with the SC that you're on the latest version of the software.
There's a new firmware update, which is optional. You can talk to them about that, too.
I'd consider buying a road hazard insurance for the tires at Discount Tires or American Tires if the tires still have good threads left.

Thank you. I will do that.

All this tallk about system faults is scary. I have just bought a used AGT with 8,000 miles on it. Purchased from Lucid, and expect it will be inspected and I believe they said they will get all the latest software/firmware installed. In 2 weeks I'm booked for the Infotainment CPU upgrade.

I'm hoping these reported system faults are rare. I've had Tesla's since 2018 and they had their share of issues in the early days, but they are quite reliable now. Moved on from Tesla in hopes of better build quality and comfort, but certainly don't want motors failing. Little software issues are expected, and Lucid seems to be frequently updating. Having to call for a tow is something else again, and would certainly add to anxiety on a long trip..

50 miles won't get you anything
