Gravity Delivery Discussion

Been a busy weekend but I did pick up my GDE (#086) a few days ago, which was several weeks ahead of the updated expected delivery date after failing the final inspections before delivery. So far, it has met and exceeded all of my expectations; what a blast to drive! Same as most I only received the single fob but it has, knock on wood, worked flawlessly thus far. I have not had to use one of the cards yet.
I haven't tried charging (yet) but was able to get both garage doors programmed with homelink and have functioned as expected. The HUD, while still functionally limited, has also exceeded my expectations (admittedly my expectations were pretty low coming in). It was also delivered as I requested without the aero covers installed on the 21-22" wheels and with the lug and hub covers instead installed (seems to be some variation with this but I prepaid for the parts for this to happen). I was also surprised to see the DE bears were also not installed and delivered separately which will help a lot with the PPF install. I was told and expecting this to not be an option so was pleasantly surprised when it came this way.
As a bonus, and surprise to both me and my SA, the frunk came with a special gift; the DE funk seat! It was the first they had seen at the Denver studio. I will get the other fob and other DE gifts shipped to me later.
The only real "negatives" so far is there were 2 loose trim pieces in the trunk. I later found these are supposed to cover an area on the trunk lid near the taillight area. There was also some adhesive strips in this area but didn't seem to help much in holding the left and right trim pieces where they should go. I will leave these off until I need to have a service call for something more pressing. I can't recall but someone else may have a similar issue as well?
Also, moving the 2nd row seats back and forth sounds a little "rough" like something catches at times. It may be the multi-part trim pieces that expand out and contract. I have also heard some creaks and rattles from the 2nd row (nothing not already called out) but I'm wondering if these same plastic seat glide trim pieces aren't part of the issue.
Finally, I want to give a shoutout to my SA. While like most things in life, it can be hit or miss on the level of service and care you get but I really enjoyed my SA and felt like he went above and beyond on many occasions. I would definitely do business with him again in the future. At the same time, I feel for the others who have had subpar experiences with their SAs.
can you specify the "loose trim pieces"?
these are loose pieces i have

Maybe they are stopping to let all employees assist with the shipment of thousands of mini toy cars to future owners who are frustrated with delays.

LOL. I'm kidding, though not sure that "gift" is hitting the way they want it. Is it me or did that come off a little "calm down kids, here's some candy?" But I appreciated the email stating what we all knew. Sometimes, a little communication goes a long ways.

Hope this stop is for this crazy glitch preventing people access to their new REAL car...and they can start delivering in BULK soon. I'm so close to moving on to the Rivian...but love the Gravity so much. Let's go Lucid. ;-)

We picked up our Gravity Dream Edition at the Plano TX store. As expected - very nice. We are long time Tesla owners and we were expecting our our two Tesla Level 2 Wall Connectors to work on the Gravity. Neither of them worked - Nothing but red lights. Lucid customer service could not help. Anyone know anything about this incompatibility?
Congrats on your new Gravity DE. Hope you got the charger issue resolved. I know this isn't helpful for your current situation but I have a Tesla Gen 3 Universal charger at my house and it's worked flawlessly from day 1 with no issues... so worst case scenario, you could upgrade to a new one with confidence if you can't get your current one to work. You also may have to change some settings in the tesla app for your current charger to allow it to charge all vehicles beyond changing the settings on the charger itself.

I got my lucid level 2 home charger installed 2 weeks ago (100 amp breaker). Yesterday I was excited to try charging our new gravity for the first time. I got a message charger connected then preparing to charge followed by clicking sound in the charging unit and a message charging has stopped. I called customer Service and they recommended restarting the home charger. I did that and it seemed to fix the issue. Today the same thing happened, but restating the charger didn’t seem to help. Any idea what could be the problem? Do I need to get back the electrician who installed it?
What was your max kwH charge rate on the Lucid charger?

Have you looked at that interior? We loved our Model S and X, though they had quite spartan interiors compared to the Lucid, but the images of the new Luxe interior looked downright repellent to me…
There's no change to the interior. The Luxe package is just bundling all the options into 1, plus free supercharging and maintenance.

We have not tried to set up Homelink yet. (Odd story there. We have to back the car out of the garage to get a ladder under the overhead door motor housings to calibrate the roaming codes, but it was dark and we routinely have gators cross our driveway each evening as they move from the lake on one side of the house to the swamp on the other. So Homelink is a daytime job.) But I asked Customer Care if there was any reason it should not work. They said it should, but they had already had four calls today from new owners saying Homelink could not be set up, so Lucid has started a discussion with Homelink to see what's going on.

I know this is off-topic, but . . .

Our house is at the end of the pavement just as our road enters the CREW Bird Rookery Swamp, a 60,000-acre nature preserve. Yesterday morning a woman was hiking up the road and just beyond our house was attacked by an alligator. It was only the second gator attack in Florida this year, and it comes just as gator eggs are hatching and the females are on high alert (as males will eat the hatchlings).

We don't have any details about the circumstances of the attack or the woman's condition other than she was bitten on the arm and leg. She was airlifted to a Tier I trauma center in Ft. Myers. Gators do not view upright adults as prey and will try to get away from them unless they feel threatened (such as when guarding a clutch) or cornered. About the only time they attack a human is if the human is prone or bent over in or near water, or if there is something with the human that does look like prey, such as a small dog.

The woman was hiking along a canal that runs along the dirt-road entry into the Rookery and that ends at our property line. Females often lay their eggs on the banks of the canal as it's easy to keep the clutch under watch there. Gators use that canal to go into the swamp at night. At the time we built, we did not realize our lot was the migration path from the end of the canal to the large lake on the other side of our property into which many gators move for the day. (We routinely see gators crossing our yard toward the lake in the morning and crossing back to the canal in the evening.)

Here's one heading for the lake in the morning:

I have 2 Tesla wall connectors and after some initial issues both are now working. You need to go through ouch Tesla energy support not Lucid support. You will need to use the Tesla One app and go into the wall connectors setting. There are three options, charge all vehicles, charge Tesla only, or charge only certain vin numbers. Choose charge all vehicles and you should be good to go.

That’s just for later Tesla wall adapters, right? I have a first gen one at a different house that charges at 80A and from what I read on here, all I need to do is open it up and throttle it back to 48A.

Yes, I have the gen 3 chargers. They are sharing 48 amps off a 60 amp circuit.

I am curious if the NACS->J1772->NACS hack might work to get the full 80A charging speed from a Gen 2 charger?

Interesting option/solution, but I don’t need the extra juice that badly to risk an electrical issue. At 48A, I am getting 35 “miles” of range per hour. There’s a compatible Tesla supercharger 5 minutes from that house, so if I desperately needed quick range, I’d go there.

I haven’t gotten anything since delivery. 2nd key or the DE accessories including the frunk seat.
Was just about to ask if anyone received a frunk seat yet. Wonder if they are going to be sent as random and production has been based on orders. I was able to get an additional key card as one of mine went missing during PPF installation.

@borski got his and assumed others would shortly after but seems his delivery was an outlier so who knows when they’ll come. Some have also gotten them at delivery also.
