Gravity Bugs / Issues

The outside rearview mirror on the driver side of our Gravity won't hold the setting I put in for my profile. When I reposition it and try to save it to my profile, the "save to profile" button stays grayed out and won't save the setting. I've been having to reset the mirror every time I get behind the wheel for a couple of weeks.
Hate to say it, but I think this is another buggy thing. My save/reset buttons appear when I move my mirrors or seat, but often grayed out. Sometimes I can save, sometimes not. It does seem to remember when I do save.

I have been able to save a few times, but after a few more drives it dumps the setting again. And it only happens with the driver-side mirror, not the passenger-side one.

I feel like your Gravity (along with other members on here) has a lot of bugs/quirks mine doesn't have which is odd considering many are likely software based and we are both running the same software. Have you tried deleting your profile and starting from scratch... and is there any sort of "factory reset" that you can do as well to basically start over with a clean slate? I would equate this to doing a fresh OS install on a computer that's acting up.

The mobile tech reloaded our software as part of his unsuccessful attempt to unfreeze the navigation system. He's coming again this Friday, and I'll see what he says about this. Frankly, I'm terrified to attempt anything myself at this point, because I have no idea what other gremlins will pop up.

Not that this helps folks, but my Homelink setup was easy and worked well. Of course, I keep the geofence turned off, but I’d do that even if there wasn’t an issue.

Our Homelink set up easily, too. However, I'd like to use the geofence feature, but it appears our car is not transmitting or receiving GPS locations which Lucid thinks may be part of the problem with the frozen nav system -- so no geofencing for a while.

Yeah, most of the demos aren't currently shipping, which seems odd but I guess enabling one every few months is something you can release-note.

Does anyone NOT have this? I assume that they're running their own NTP server and its fast -- or, as I suggested before, someone at Lucid is always late for meetings and made this global across all the Gravity. 🤣

I have not had this, but reports from the forums are that this is a consistent Lucid latch issue.
Smells like a poorly maintained MS Server they are using as NTP source - :(
That means, obviously, logs are off as well.

Does the Gravity that appears on the pilot screen actually match anyone’s specs? Mine does not and I assume that’s true for all. It took Tesla and Rivian a couple of years to do this and it’s certainly not a priority.

Not sure what you're afraid of... What could possibly go wrong? 🤣

Being serious though, I did double check that there actually is a "Factory Reset" button in the settings....though I don't have any clue what that button truly does if one was to push it. I do know that re-loading/upgrading a software version is NOT the equivalent of a "reset" as all your profiles and settings are still there after doing that. The gremlins may be festering in your profile and wreaking havoc with each software version. It truly may be worth a try---but be prepared to re-pair keys which I remember doing upon the initial setup of my car at delivery.

It does not... but the Gravity in the 3D surround parking view does!

Just ask Lucid to keep the wheels and replace everything else in your car. Might be easier.

While I know you need to have two profiles so your partner can drive, what I’ve found is at least on the Air if you’re logged into a guest profile, and save settings, those settings stay on the guest profile as well. What if you try from scratch logged in as guest and see if the mirrors retain the settings? You may lose it if you switch to another profile, but I’m curious if you stay in guest profile, and do not switch profiles in between a couple drives, if the mirrors retain their locations. Anytime someone gets an Air loaner it’s the guest profile they’re driving on and I’ve found it keeps the settings on any loaner I’ve had. 🤷‍♂️. Of course the Gravity is different and broke in all new sorts of ways but maybe guest might help you not have to switch your mirrors

I do have the "Factory Reset" button and will try it . . . but I'll do it while the mobile tech is here on Friday.

Nope. The Lucid Rep who did my remote wakthru delivery said that it was coming in an update in the future, so we'll see.

According to my children, the lack of a WiFi hotspot is a major issue. Score one for the R1S… 😂

True....an in-car WiFi hotspot is a grreat feature. Rivian used to have that feature for free. If I remember corectly, you have to pay a monthly fee for that now. Can't you just use your phone as a HotSpot for the children?

Yes on the fee now and yes on my hotspot. BUT, three kids on a road trip streaming means my “unlimited” hotspot ends up throttled at some point later in month when I inevitably need it. But, not the biggest deal. Kind of a champagne problem.

Interesting. Our car shows the vehicle as white, and I was just assuming it's another one of our many malfunctions. But then I see others are also not seeing their own vehicle's configuration.

Yet in a video released by Lucid three months ago in which David Flynt, head of Lucid UX/UI, walks us through the UI features, he said that the feature had been implemented since the most recent auto show, and he went on to demonstrate it (at 6:00):
