Gravity Delivery Discussion

I have been very happy with Edsley at the Tyson's Corner Studio. When I've called, I either get him or a text saying that he's with a customer and will call me before the end of the day. I usually get a call with an answer to my question or a simple "they haven't given us any information on that yet". At least he's honest and tells me that he doesn't have an answer and doesn't try to bs me
I think I know who you're talking about.
I thought his name was Lindsley. :)
I did my test drive with him in May.
Super cool guy.
If I didn't already have an SA, I'd have gone with him.

We know HUD and power outlets are a hold up for DEs. We also know they weren’t producing white until recently.

Not sure about DDPro. It does seem like production of “fully loaded” GGTs has slowed, but that’s just from watching the forum.
Unless you know something I don’t, production of “fully loaded” GGTs has never started.

It’s been so long since they announced the HUD delay, I no longer thing of that as “fully loaded”…should have qualified that.

My GGT was delivered to my house today.
Delivery driver says he's delivered 8 so far; mostly to NC.
One in a neighboring county to the north, so I'm not the first in my area.
Glad he knew to retract the side mirrors as he was headed toward the trailer door cables during the unload.

Received 1 key fob and 2 key cards.
Linked them all to my profile.
Will give one key card to my wife for backup; she'll never drive the car.

One very minor issue: signs of touch-up paint on lower right side passenger door frame.
Four small thin lines of touch-up paint that I know can be done better.
Mentioned it to the delivery specialist during the virtual walk-through.
He added it to the due bill.
I may see if the detailer I'm taking it to for ppf and ceramice coating can fix it.
Yesterday I talked to the service manager to the service center that I'll be using.
Delivery driver is also from my area and knows the service manager. Said good things.
Looks like I may be seeing him in person since that service center is also a body shop.

Interesting occurence as I returned home from my maiden voyage; notification appeared on far left main display "Software Update Successful".
Car still on 3.2.2. I'll investigate more tomorrow.

I noticed tonight that the mobile app shows the car in sleep mode.
"Waking up ..." stays on screen.
Then "Still waking up ...".
To be continued ...

Love the regen braking on high.
I sure hope I remember to use the brake when I drive my ICE car again.

Wife saw it for first time.
Said "That is a very nice car".
Did maiden voyage with her, granddaughter and her mom and dad.
Dropped them off and went back out.
Finally came home after more exploration and set up.

More fun tomorrow!!!

Okay. Another week about to begin. Anyone scheduled to take delivery this week? I’ve been asking weekly for a while. This week, I will start. I am taking delivery of my GGT tomorrow morning!
Hopefully. Mine (GGT) was supposed to arrive at the center on the 7th. I asked my advisor on the 6th and he said should be the 7th. He calls me on the 8th and says it hasn’t left the yard yet at the production plant. I’m thinking, you could have just pinged its location all last week and told me. Ah well. We will see if it actually gets on a truck to PA this week. 🤞🏾

Having owned an EQS580 SUV (traded in 2 weeks ago) and a Gravity DE, I prefer the Gravity. MB understates its range, while I find the Gravity's range to be overstated. In practice, I might get 10 more miles in my Gravity (which has the larger wheels), which is negligible. Charging speed is a significant advantage for the Gravity. However, the MB works well with Tesla Superchargers. The MB seats are excellent, and the HUD is currently better. Hopefully, the Lucid HUD will improve with software updates. The prices are quite similar. The MB has a spacious second row, but the third row is cramped (we had the 2-row version). The MB's brakes are very odd and disappointing, as many have reported. Regenerative braking only works with the paddle shifters, and the software is generally poor. But still not a bad car - MB has stopped production of EVs in the US for now as sales were disappointing and reviews were middling at best.
I'm very interested to hear your impression, what with you having ownership experience of both. As range is one of my primary concerns, I'd previously considered the MB EQS. But after reading reviews, I decided I was more excited about the Gravity. MB's pretty high pricing made my decision to place a Gravity order easy.

We're still seeing no activity on our Black / Yosemite DE order.

Given that there have been posts on this forum of at least three different upholstery tears in Gravities in showrooms with the synthetic Yosemite interior, I'm hoping that the delay is because Lucid has gone back to the drawing board with the supplier on that material. No Tahoe leather interiors have been reported to have similar tears, although plenty of them have been on the same showroom circuit.
Yeah, after reading reports of tears in both Air and Gravity vehicles, I decided to switch my order to Tahoe leather. Previously I'd picked the Yosemite, which I really like the look of.

Tahoe leather looks great in person. Obviously, personal preference.

Yeah, I don't mind the Tahoe at all. I just like the Yosemite a bit better. I've seen all the reports from Air owners about Lucid doing right by them if they get a tear in a seat. But while I don't keep keys in my back pocket, I do have dogs, and I figured the perforations make make it hard for the material to stand up to them.

I, too, have a dog and need to figure out what to use beyond blankets for some additional protection.
