Yeah, 100% was a bit aggressive on my part, but I’d think it’s greater than 75% given the number of inventory cars we are hearing about and we know some exist. But you’d have to take what they have.

There does seem to be a pretty big gap between the most responsive SA that chases orphaned builds for people, and the SA that take weeks to respond to messages. We have examples of people taking delivery rapidly after telling their SA they're flexible about the specific configuration. Obviously that's also unlikely to be true for 1000 people in the next two months.

Production is always going to ”ramp next month”, “next quarter”, etc. Tesla and Rivian were the same. We shall see what they say on earnings, but it feels like they’re very far from ramping up.

They’ll be motivated to place vehicles by end of Q3, but there’s a bunch of demand.

If you listen to the earnings call this comes up and they state they are planning for incentives in Q3 though they do not state if they would be for air or gravity. They also state the demand is out weighing supply for gravity. So I doubt we will see price adjustments.

Wanting to lock in the lease credits (won't buy new due to desperation curve) I had my SA look for a closely speced car that was in bound. I am picking it up next Tuesday. Would I have bought without the credit, most likely, but if I can sacrifice on spec to save $7500 I am all for it.

I think tricking yourself into believing that an extra $7500 doesn’t matter just because people are higher income is crazy. No one needs these cars at all - it is purely discretionary. We’re about to find out how bad people want super expensive EVs with really high insurance premiums and terrible depreciation curves. The $7500 was a good incentive to help with the transition away from ICE and I guess we’ll see if that turns right back around now. Not just Lucid for sure - it will hurt all expensive EVs.

Sorry to burst your bubble, once 7.5k incentive is history, people forget. I bet you by the end of 2026, no one will be talking about 7.5k credit.

High income buyers dont care about 7.5k credit. Plain and simple. If the car is good enough for their needs, they will buy it. You think all those Mercedes S class owners were haggling their dealer?

I was joking- 7.5k is 7.5k.
In grad school I used to measure the cost of items in how many drafts I could get at TJs bar on 10 cent draft Tuesdays.
