The latest in our relentless pursuit of perfection

Your Lucid Service Center now offers a hardware upgrade to the Lucid Air infotainment processor. A leap in digital performance, the next generation Center Console Control Unit brings double the memory, double the storage, and over twice the compute power for a significantly enhanced in-car experience.
Enjoy quicker touchscreen responses and faster animations with this upgrade, available to you for $950, including labor (taxes not included).
Please contact Lucid Service for more information and to schedule an appointment.
You can also schedule your upgrade via the Lucid Mobile App. Once in the app, go to Service / Schedule Service / Accessories & Upgrades / Upgrades and enter “CCCv2 upgrade” at the prompt.

I’ve had this for a few months now (I was the first, but paid the same price), and I’m glad the cat is finally out of the bag. This is the same CCC that is in the 2025+ vehicles and the Sapphire.

IMHO, the price is very reasonable and I highly recommend it. YMMV, of course, but my car has felt a lot snappier.

I've never scheduled an appointment this fast!

Any benefits other than snappiness?

Got my car back from service yesterday....so of COURSE the announcement comes out today!

In any case, this is terrific news and allows the older models to keep up, presumably, with all the upgrades that become available for more recent models.

Congrats to Lucid, this is a big win!

What have you noticed as the most significant differences in performance? Is it stark, or more of a subtle, "everything is just smoother" kind of deal?

I never had any complaints with the UI so really need some honest feedback if this upgrade it worth it. If there was some guarantee or more fuctions in the future that would be one thing but there is no promise of anything new only a quicker UI for $950

This is great news! It may not be something that I will take advantage of, but is says volumes about the fact that Lucid cares about its customers and is providing a path to future proof our awesome cars.

Booked for the 24th - which was the only availability in the app for the Tysons service center.

Snappier interface is great and welcome. My main reason for doing this, though, is that I fully expect the upgrade to be a prerequisite for future software improvements, whether it's sentry mode, self-driving or whatever. Kind of like when I got the MCU2 in my first Model S. I'm slightly excited that the availability of the CCCv2 might suggest that such software improvements may be just around the corner ... here's hoping :D

So for those of us in Denver … are we going to have to drive to Arizona for this? 🤡

As an FYI, mobile service is here as I type this replacing my parcel shelf. I saw the email and asked him if he could replace the chip while he was here and he said he didn't have one on him and it's likely a service center only replacement so he couldn't do it via mobile service anyway. Will this change, who knows!
