Great longer term Touring review. Plus calling the car the best EV of 2025! I think it’s probably the best car of 2025… but I’ll take it, for now!

Now I want him to review a Sapphire, or I can review one, if Lucid wants…Lol.

@Denali_Dane also saw a really dumb video where someone was saying an Ioniq 9 was better than the Sapphire because it had a noise maker…

🤮 Yeah no thanks… I’ll stick with the Lucid.

Owning a Lucid is fantastic, even the earlier model years are fantastic vehicles. I am glad Lucid is slowly starting to get known by the wider EV community. I think this will be important for Lucid's continued growth, and just seeing the gravity a few times (i haven't driven it yet but I want too) I know Lucid really hit the SUV out of the park. SUV's aren't my thing but if they were id jump into a Gravity without hesitation.

All this to say the AIR is super deserving of a review like this, and in my mind holds the best EV of 2025 title far and above the competition.

Can one go a week without having or noticing some of the well documented and widespread Lucid bugs?

Yes, because only a vocal minority experience them on a weekly basis. I certainly don’t have any bugs on a weekly basis.
Very happy for you! I guess there are 2 vocal minorities - one that frequently experiences bugs and one that claims they have none at all. My 2025 AT exhibits bugs on a daily basis, almost all of them are minor and I brush them away…

I feel like it’s decently well documented that people who have good experiences are less likely to comment about it. I know that’s the case for me. Some of the more study and data based forum members may be able to find a “Nature” study to back me up. (I think I remember reading one in some journal)

I'm not talking about people with good experiences. I am talking about the "fanboys" who will defend Lucid and get upset about people criticizing it, no matter what... And, by the way, I don't hate them, even as a joke ;)

It’s a good movie? What can I say…

I think people defend a product they believe in. :) if I’m a “fanboy” then so be it. But my opinions come from my personal experiences alone, and are not to discount anyone’s bad experiences.

Actually, I didn't mean you at all. 🤷‍♂️
From my standpoint, Lucid is a startup - so these bugs are something to expect. And they are doing quite a reasonable job to address them, while clearly having less resources than other companies do. I indeed was surprised that the reviewer in the original post had no single instance of door opening delay, Apple CarPlay glitches, sound issues or other common bugs that are clearly there in many (if not the majority) of the cars...

People love to throw that word around, but it discounts the actual experiences other people have. I’d strongly suggest anytime you consider someone a “fanboy” that you might feel slighted if called a “hater.”

Almost certainly, neither is true.

There is room for different opinions and different experiences, and perhaps downplaying the experiences of others is not worth doing.

I have never called anyone a hater. I have been accused of being a fanboy, even though if you read my posts you’ll find I criticize Lucid plenty, as well as everyone else.

Consider that there are accidental moderates out there.

Name calling is dumb and pointless, even if done in good faith; forums and text are impossible to read intent on, so reading with the best and most generous intent is the way to go, imho.

But go on, hater. :p

Yes. I’ve gone many weeks driving my ‘25 AGT without any…

That does not mean I never have weird software hiccups and a screen freeze here and there over my 6000 miles / 7 months, but IME, they are rare enough to the point of being a complete non-issue. Perhaps 2-3 times per MONTH if I had to really put a number to it…

Sapphire vs Ioniq 9 ??!!
Yeah the noise maker on the Ioniq 9 is me throwing up from the vapid comparison 🤮

Exactly, I really don't get the sound box. If you want your car to sound like a gas guzzler then go buy a gas car. Fake stuff on cars drives me crazy. Then saying that thing is better than a Sapphire because of the sound box is so stupid.

Happy for you! It's encouraging that there are people with bug-free Airs. In my AT at least one will show every day, but almost of them are minor and I brush the off...

Thank you @borski for your comment. Just to clarify, the "I hate that man" comment was directed at me by another forum member (as a response to my fairly benign comment). See below:

In no communication on this (or other) forum I have expressed hatred or disrespect to others, as this is not what this forum is for. So not sure where is this coming from. Also, no one prior to you has called me hater, and it is unclear how you got to that. It is probably worth carefully reading the posts in their sequence before coming to conclusions and expressing them. I absolutely agree with you that name calling is dumb and pointless. We all should respect each other and our difference of opinions. However, a grain of humor and sarcasm is always welcome:).

As for "fan boys", I've see this term used so many times on this forum that I didn't realize it offends anybody, especially if used in general and not aiming at anyone specific (like that same forum member used a "vocal minority" term).

The hater part was a joke; purely in jest. I did not mean it any way other than sarcastically, just to be super clear.

“Fanboy” is normally used as an accusation to say “you will never say anything negative and therefore your opinion is worthless.”

I was commenting a bit more generally, not specifically calling you a hater (other than as a joke) or saying you, specifically, were offensive. :)

Hope that clarifies. Here, have an elephant :)
