Week of testing - Best EV of 2025

I'm not talking about people with good experiences. I am talking about the "fanboys" who will defend Lucid and get upset about people criticizing it, no matter what... And, by the way, I don't hate them, even as a joke ;)
I actually consider myself a fanboy but also criticize when it’s something I think actually matters and could be fixed.

So here are the software issues experienced by me this year.
-rarely wireless CarPlay doesn’t load. I figured out why, it’s because I was not out of the car very long, like going into get coffee, and then already had my phone open doing things on it before I got into the car. This seems to affect the handoff between phone and CarPlay and it can take up to a few minutes to load, but it will load you just have to be patient. This has happened to me I think 3 times this year, once just yesterday but again no reboot was necessary cuz I realized using my phone while getting into the car was the likely culprit.
-distorted out of sync audio after the latest OTA. Reboot fixed it, never happened again.
-got an alert front camera had an error and to reboot the car after this latest OTA. Reboot fixed it, never returned.
-after this latest OTA, when charging the car is done and I get in, it defaults to a blurred out navigation screen that I have to manually close to access pilot panel functions. This is reproducible every time and so this is a legitimate bug Lucid needs to fix.
-sometimes the car has automatically disabled passive unlock as I was triggering it by the fob in my pocket unwittingly in my house. Pressing in the door handle on the rear driver door opened the car 3 out of the 4 times this has happened, the other time I had to use my phone app to unlock the car, just like the alert from Lucid instructed, and that worked. That’s it for all my bugs in the last 6 months and I’ve got 40K miles on the car.
-when searching for some things on Tidal I knew for a fact existed, they did not come up so I found them on my phone instead and added them to a playlist. The Tidal native app is lousy on all cars though so I can’t pin this one on Lucid.

As someone who spends lots of quality time with my car, my thoughts are simply that everyone has their own thresholds for when things are going well or not well with their cars. I did a poll last year and found that a lot of us have multiple cars and only about half of of drive our Lucids on a daily basis with fewer than 10% driving several times a day or more and rely on them for our only means of transportation. For those who drive a lot frequently, we probably have a lower threshold for tolerating things that are considered insignificant to many... Because they never see them or see them with much less frequently.

Take the current hater, give him/her a lot $ and other means of transportation, and that person might turn into a fanboy. And vice versa.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and nobody should judge another unless they walk a mile in their shoes. Discounting anyone's opinion is not a fair assessment.

If it’s stated as opinion, you are correct. If it is stated as “it’s outrageous the car can’t do X Y Z” when they’re either factually wrong (the Reddit poster didn’t know how to make Drive Assist the default) or don’t know the context, such as myself when I initially thought it was BS Gravity didn’t come with active Homelink but then learned Homelink changed and there’s issues with both hardware and software license and it’s affecting other cars, not just lucid, then that opinion is probably wrong and should be corrected.

I agree with you. But in cases like that, that's a personality issue. And we all know, you can't fix xxxxxxx
