Some parts prices are as expected. Some parts are crazy expensive and some parts are rather cheap.
$15,000 for a Sapphire spoiler.

Ok. You'll get a pass on this one. But if the first sacrifice is unsatisfactory to the Lucid Repair Gods, put on your sunscreen & get ready for being placed on the spit.Leave Borski alone
It’s entirely carbon fiber.$15,000 for a Sapphire spoiler.
DM me your email. I have lots of invoices.Much thanks and gratitude to @Rogue for sending in his total loss vehicle cost estimate. The spreadsheet has been further updated to include additional information.

Lucid Repair Cost's

If anyone else has good data points, send them along to me. I am happy to receive any and all available information.
Further thanks to @Denali_Dane for putting up with my insufferable Lucid talk while smoking a delicious cigar. Also, thanks for the cigar.
@californiaboy935, I have one of these too if you want me to send it to you.I have a supplement that eventually led to the totaling of the car covering a significant number of parts. This was pre adjustment from the insurance company on parts, labor hours, and pricing.
Expect $150+ hourly rates for labor. If you had specific parts in mind, I can likely find it in the report and provide an estimated cost.
Please do@californiaboy935, I have one of these too if you want me to send it to you.

It’s worth it!! Might have to buy the Sapphire instead of the Sapphire spoiler tho…It’s entirely carbon fiber.
Yes, it’s still insane, but at least it’s an expensive material heh

Better value.
Or maybe I can retrofit this baby into the GTP… what do you think @Denali_Dane, more garage projects?

I asked about this too and the shipping costs will be on us, Lucid will not pay for it.Has anyone had an out of warranty service performed at a distant service center that required shipping the car? If so, did Lucid continue to cover the transport cost, as they do when under warranty, or was the full shipping cost the owners responsibility?
Thanks! That could be a tough one to swallow...I did a quick search on roundtrip cost for enclosed transport to my closest service center 200 miles away & it was $1,000+. That's a heck of a service premium.I asked about this too and the shipping costs will be on us, Lucid will not pay for it.
That's going to be tough and unprecedented, (as the insurer) you can't properly calculate the risk of the total cost of the warranty if you have such a wide variable in transport costs. What if the owner moves further away? What if (some how) a repair shop closes and the next closest one is 2k miles away? I don't see anyone offering an extended warranty for Lucid's until they can properly scale the SC's nationwide... and that's (in part) why I sold my Air and leased a Gravity. I was up to 48k miles and didn't want to be on the hook for transport or travel time for mobile techs, not to mention the repairs themselves. Lucid really needs to get on the extended warranty bandwagon.
Have you gotten a quote from an approved repair shop? It was significantly higher than what the SC quoted me because of the cost they had to bear to GET certified.Or they can open up repair/diagnosis software and parts to indepedent shops. Not all repairs should require a SC.
Idk where the margin is on that training and certification, if they are getting margin on it then yes 100% agree, if they are just passing on the cost, that’s the sweet spot, but idk if I’d say they should take a loss to do it, especially given their current cash flow positionExactly, they are overly restricting the independent repair process. If they want to do it all internal they have to open a lot more SC to cover the country. If they want independent shops they have to open the process up to lower the cost of entry. They can't continue the way they are, especially if they expect larger volumes as the mid size comes to market.
They are not using the time available as a low volume manufacturer to establish a viable repair process needed to support larger volumes they expect to sell in the future.
They are kinda already doing this.Or they can open up repair/diagnosis software and parts to indepedent shops. Not all repairs should require a SC.
