Nick Twork has confirmed it actually is a supply chain issue... That being said, the lack of full demos of the "augmented reality HUD" makes me think it may not be fully baked at this point beyond basic stuff like showing current speed and posted speed limit. As for this survey question, I'm not sure "limited functionality" is the correct way of looking at it. I suspect it will have baseline "functionality" that will likely be expanded/improved upon over time.No. I have stated this in other places, and I think I'm in the minority here, but I think this is a design issue, not a supply chain one. I don't think this product is ready to deliver, and I don't think they have line of sight to producing it at a decent cost, which is why they have no choice but to can it for GGT and will only be able to offer it as kind of a late beta version on DE. I sort of wondered if it might cause an overall delay to GDEs, but since some people are apparently getting firm delivery dates, I can only assume that they'll retrofit HUD late, or possibly with a software update (but I think more likely a retrofit).
+1, the lucid folks told me it is working, but they disabled itIt’s working right now in the Valley Fair studio demo car.
So yeah I think it’ll be working.
Parts issues. Nick Twork from Lucid clarified this earlier. There are supply chain issues that will eventually get resolved with time.If they had it solved, it would be working in all the demo cars (and the "review" cars) but it is not. It is obvious to me that they are having trouble with the HUD for some reason, and don't feel like they can reliably produce it in volume any time soon. The cost of delays in the deliveries of Gravities has to be enormous, so they bit the bullet and decided to delete the HUD from the GT so they could start pushing cars out the door. I'm sure it is decision they didn't make lightly, but their cash burn is significant and they need to get the Gravity into customers' hands.
I don't think so! I can't believe that unless I see a video of it in (real) action - and not the lame demo they project in the car. And by working, I guess you mean it's installed and displays something on the windshield? It’s working right now in the Valley Fair studio demo car.

Correct. And I could move it around and the depth of field was way out ahead in front of where I was sitting, where the road *would* be. So I see no reason it wouldn’t work.I don't think so! When I was in there around 3pm today I couldn't get it to move. I tried the auto setting and I thought I saw it jump out of the corner of my eye, but when I tried manual adjustment, nothing...Correct. Hm. It worked for me, I think? But I only briefly tested it.When I was in there around 3pm today I couldn't get it to move. I tried the auto setting and I thought I saw it jump out of the corner of my eye, but when I tried manual adjustment, nothing...
If one doubt what @nicktwork says, i would suggest them to apply for Lucid and help them fix the issueHm. It worked for me, I think? But I only briefly tested it.
Maybe I broke it?
Either way, I suspect it’s either done or very close to done, and I see no reason to doubt @nicktwork’s statement that it is parts issues![]()
Done in what sense? Display something? Sure. AR ready with lane assist showing where to turn etc? I doubt.Hm. It worked for me, I think? But I only briefly tested it.

That's my expectation as well, so if you wait for HUD you probably won't be missing much as the DE will be hardware ready software developing just as the DDPro situation.I think the HUD will have basic functionality at delivery but will be at lot like DDPro on the Air. Awesome hardware in true Lucid style but a slow roll out of ADAS features. For the HUD, it will be a slow rollout of the very cool augmented reality features that the hardware enables. I hope that I am wrong on this.
Got a video or photos of that? It’s working right now in the Valley Fair studio demo car.

Amazing picture, I think they’ll ship with the HUD working. If limited, but look how far our Air’s have come…Post in thread 'Lucid will not offer heads-up display on Gravity GT (for now)'
