This article reads like going forward they will use these semiconductors. Is that the case?

If they have always used these, between this and the NVIDIA announcement, I am curious why wait several months after production to announce these things.

Well, only speculation, but since it's the companies who are announcing it, my guess is they were waiting to see how successful Lucid was before including them in a press release.

There were earlier announcements regarding Rohm and BorgWarner supplying SiC chips. Could be diversification of suppliers or dissatisfaction with existing suppliers.
