This is a little hack to make your air conditioning work better in your Lucid Air.
It’s warming up again and after two years of wonderful driving pleasure I thought I might pass on this simple hack I've use to aid the efficiency of the air conditioning in cooling the cabin.

Because of the my glass roofed cabin’s tendency to bake in the sun, when summer comes , i always drive with the sun visor flipped down. This opens a gap that allows the A/C air to reach up to and then pass down the length of the glass roof bringing immediate relief from the heat that sometimes radiates down. When Left in its standard position the visor completely blocks off that helpful air circulation from the top vents. no big deal but it works.

I sorry if this was coverd before. But just thought I’d share in case someone else wanted to try it.

Interesting hack! I’ll have to try it.

The sunshades help a lot in the summer too.

I have to admit that after 6 years in two glass-roofed Teslas, it's just not very practical down here in these parts, Summer or otherwise. I don't miss it in my Pure and even in the traditional roof in a few recent hot days the AC was struggling a bit. Can't imagine the dead of summer.

It seems to be very much a “love it or hate it” type thing. It’s one of the few things that kept me from getting a Sapphire (along with an inability to justify the price for the relatively minimal increase from the DE).

I love the glass roof. But I’ve also tinted it and added sunshades in the summer, so I recognize the drawbacks.

I'm with you. During the warm months, the defrost vents cranking the AC up and over the roof glass is the correct answer. For me, being ummm... folically challenged, even the sun shade and tinting isn't quite enough to keep the heat at bay. That cool air over the top of my head though is sweet relief.

Thanks for the suggestion. I never thought about this. I'll have to try this when it gets warmer. I love the glass roof because it makes the car feel so open. But I am kind of heat challenged. Temperatures that make other people feel comfortably warm are already hot to me, and other people's hot makes me feel faint. The roof is tinted and if it gets really warm I put in the shades. But this sounds like a really good improvement.

That reminds me, it's time to reinstall the roof shades!
