Expansion to 150 stations and upgraded stations

Did they come out and say a few months ago they would stop putting in 350kwh chargers and something about power sharing?

They ‘supposedly’ have been expanding for a while without much success. There are two EA stations that have been built almost a year ago near me but are not yet active. They have looked finished for some time, probably some permitting issue holding them up. So….. they are still listed as “coming soon” on that map.

i have been playing around on plugshare to see if i can make a trip to Grand Teton/Yellowstone NP after I get my Lucid from the Bay area. It seems possible but more charging stations around the park would definitely ease my mind.

I too have been planning our June/July road trip to the National Parks (Yellowstone/Grand Teton/Glacier/Zion/Bryce/Arches/Mt. Rushmore) it’s a challenge but doable. I just hope to get my GT in early May.

I have buddy that made the run from Tracy to Yellowstone last September in his Tesla extended range via Dutch John, UT. When we were we were in Dutch John last summer, there was a Model S parked at the Flaming Gorge Dam Visitors Center. There was no over night parking posted, but just had to ask a county sheriff on duty for dam security about the vehicle. He said that had no clue how long it had been there. My friend had mentioned one of requirements was to find 220 volt outlets where ever he stayed. He made it back, so it can be done. Not certain what app he used.

Most RV camp sites have 220 plugs available.

Glacier NP seems like it would be very difficult in an ordinary 250-mile EV. Possible in a GT. A recent trip to Anza-Borrego in a rented gasoline SUV with 450-mile range was a relief, in a way, from our EV-only household. At one point we could see the Salton Sea on the horizon, and decided to drive to it. We did it without hesitation or worry, and without a furrowed brow looking at Plugshare.
