Compare your Lucid’s size to other vehicles

Trust me on this one; Privacy.com is spectacular. Generate as many one-time use debit cards, as often as you'd like, with either recurring limits or one-time use, or lock them to a merchant, and so on. I, too, have dealt with a lot of theft / credit card fraud, and Prviacy.com gave me back the internet. :)

It's also extremely useful for 'free trials' that automatically convert, because a $1 one-time card gets past them and then they can't charge it, so I don't have to forget to cancel.

It integrates with 1Password, too, making it even better (for me, or anyone that uses 1pw)

And... it's free.
I just signed on for a trial but stopped when they asked for SS #.
Never feel comfy about giving this info out.

Blame antifraud and KYC laws.

I've personally read their security policies (I've done software security my whole life).

Anyway, I understand the hesitation, but I personally vouch for them, fwiw.

That's re-assuring. Thanks.

Since Peter Rawlinson likes to point out that it has the same interior space as a Mercedes S class, and more cargo space, it's nice to see them side by side.

For example, comparing the Lucid Air 2021–present sedan with the Rivian R1S 2022–present SUV, you can see their car dimensions (length, width, and height) from a street perspective.

Wow they’re almost identical. Feels a lot different in the cabin, the Maserati is nearly 1/3 engine.
My recollection of the GranTurismo is that it felt cozy and cocooning inside; the Air feels expansive and generous.
Four inches of additional length can be a lot when trying to park in the city. With just the two of us, I'd rather be driving a ~185 inch vehicle.

Oh yeah you are wrapped up in it for sure. For daily Lucid is the obvious choice. I enjoy the tactile nature of the Maserati and it’s just gorgeous, but for a commute there’s just no reason to drive it. The interior is obviously better than the Lucid, but, there are virtually no creature comforts!

I daily-drove the GranTurismo's predecessor (Gransport Spyder two-seater) for ten years. A lot of fun on an open road, but not so much in traffic between a garbage truck and a rusted-out camo-painted Suburban.

Oh lord especially with that f1 transmission

The Gransport was the first Italian car I ever sat in. My buddy (the mechanic) told me to fire it up. I did. I remember what it sounded like. Then I bought a GranTurismo maybe a year later. Haven’t had any issues with it really.

My spyder was pretty reliable too, and had a great tail. The F1 worked well when you were really on it. In town, you learned to feather the throttle a bit during shifts.

With the Model S, it's also within an inch. I took my SIL for a ride, and he was in the back seat. When I later told him that it's the same length as a Model S, he was shocked. He thought from being inside it that it was much longer.

We had a 2021 Model S Plaid as well as our Lucid Air Dream P. If I put the driver sear in each car in my preferred driving position, the Air had 9.5" more fore/aft rear legroom than the Model S. And on the passenger side, I had to move the front seat well forward before my feet could even touch the firewall, making the rear legroom on that side of the car even more capacious.

Not only that, but the Air cabin also felt noticeably wider than the Model S cabin, even though both cars had scooped out door panels. Lucid simply has no peer in space packaging. Not even close.

Not only the Lucid but most EVs have larger human compartments. So when you compare a Lucid to a BMW 5/7 series, Mercedes E/S, etc. the Lucid will have much more commodious internal space. One of the many, many advantages of EVs (even if this view is not shared by the majority of US drivers).

And then when you add cargo space -- especially frunk space. which most German cars lack entirely -- into the mix, Lucid moves even further out in front.
