I sold this car to a dealer about 6 weeks ago and now he has it back on ebay. This will set the market value for a fully loaded Touring. 3500 miles.

Well this is just a bargain. Cant really stomach a 80k charge in about 1 hour, but it sets the tone for tourings that arent being sold by cash grab dealers.

It’s already up at 100k, which is more than what the GT went for on cars and bids.

I continue to maintain that cars and bids isn’t a great place to sell your Lucid, and isn’t reflective of the market price at large if you’re willing to sell it private party.

What does a reserve refer to?
A bidding level below which the car will not sell - ie if the reserve is 90k but it's only bid up to 85k, there's no sale. Once the bidding meets the reserve, then it will sell to the highest bidder.

100k is a pretty encouraging benchmark IMHO. Entirely agree that C&B wasn't the best place for that GT-P, it can be a tough crowd who love to nitpick. I've sold two cars on there (both with no reserve) but it was a lot of work, taking detailed pictures and answering very detailed questions from people who were just there for "fun" and had no intention of bidding.

He lost $5000 on the car in 6 weeks. The problem with selling a non collectible $100,000 car on Cars and Bids or BaT is that the winning bid is $4500 (CaB) or $5000 (BaT) below market value due to buyer's fee being figured into total cost. That's why I sell my cars on ebay. Ebay only charges the seller $79.

Craigslist charges $5 ;)

Craigslist has a totally different clientele. Ebay has the greatest exposure. I usually place a free ad on cars.com too but there are too many trying to scam there.

Perhaps the market is factoring the depreciation curve based on the current MSRP. In any case the new owner will be delighted and I hope they find there way here!

It was a good car without issues. I had the misaligned panels aligned and any loose trim replaced at Riviera Beach service center. Only got rid of it was because of the glass roof. Loving metal roof car better in FL sun.

"sunroof, cassette player, ..., cd player, convertible" - lol. who knew we had so many options!? :)
I put a BT CD player in my car for a few months 😁

Yes, I purchased my Rivian R1S thru Carsandbids, I had to factor that $4500 into my bid equation. All EVs price are dropping with Tesla lowing their price affected used car market curve. SUV/Truck has higher demand than sedan, I see less slope of that segment’s curve. I couldn’t wait 3.5 years for R1S and unknown date for Gravity.
I didn't buy this ebay touring, but I did win the Cars and Bids GT-P. ;) Happy to be here!
Congrats! Deal of 2023!!!!

well certainly not ideal for us touring owners. But at least it's well above what I paid. Not panicking yet...

How was the sound quality for BT CD player? Comparable to the traditional wired setup? vs. USB stick?
It was the same as using your phone to play music via BT, but until I finish ripping all my CDs...which will be never.
