Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Touring

A message from your moderators: now that Lucid has their online tracking system and the numbers of vehicles has significantly increased, we will be doing away with the forum tracking system, which was originally intended to track early vehicles and (color) batches.

Of course, you are still welcome to post on this thread regarding your upcoming reservation or delivery, but these will no longer be tracked by the moderators.

If you wish, you may note your current Lucid in the "cars" or "signature" section of your profile. If you're expecting delivery, please put "pending." Thanks to everybody who participated in the tracker in these early days!
Where is Lucid's online tracking system? Is this something the public can view? As you know, I'm still waiting for my Touring.

What do you think your range between charging on trips will be?

If maxed out, I'd say it would do 320 miles tops at this point. Given not charging to 100 and not running to zero, between charging trips more likely going to be somewhere around 250 miles. Not super pleased with that at the moment. Let me also add I'm very familiar with driving an EV, and veryyyy modest driving style. I run zero climate control with these numbers as well. Zero accessories like seat warm or cool, absolutely nothing but driving. But, a 20 degree drop in temp from 70s to 50s will make your battery suffer 10-15% loss and that's pretty typical

Why not charge to 100% on trips?

Wait are you saying between charging, you are only getting 250 miles by doing 20-80%? and you aren't happy with that?

Has anyone experienced after confirming their order attempted to change any specs, like 21" to 20" and was told that the price is still the price since my request was "after" confirming.. I test drove a Touring in Short Hills NJ and they recommended due to the roads out in New Jersey it would be best to change the rims to prevent possible rim damage. I was told the car was in production, now preparing for delivery. The rims could be swapped but for the 21" price. I would hate to cancel this order due to this.. I can see if they were saying, we can order you the 20" additionally and I pay the difference. But to say that I will still be on the hook for rims that I don't own seems a little Ludacris.
Update* They actually were able to switch out the rims and tires. And on top, I confirmed after the price hike to $107,500.. They lowered my MSRP to pre price hike of $95,000 :)... Thats a $12,500 decrease on top of the $2000 decrease for the wheels.. Saving $14,5000.. I was informed that the car is in Short Hills and awaiting for me to pick up. :)

I usually go below 20 and charge to 85%. Not super stoked with what would be 320 on a FULL 100% charge given the efficiency I'm seeing, completely babying it, and never once using heat or AC on 500 miles of driving lol. Yea...fair to say 75% of the efficiency is something I'm not happy with. And as previously stated I expect and am optimistic for it to improve.

Bobby, sorry but what do you mean by “Lucid has their online tracking system”? Is that something I can access and see?
Thanks, but I’m new at this.

I am not personally used this system, my car is not new enough. Perhaps someone else can commemt who has utilized it.

What we’re referring to is Lucid’s online Dashboard, which is part of the account section on the Lucid web site. It gives you some information about the current state of progress for your order.

It can be frustrating at times, because you can get stuck in a particular stage, like “In Production” for a long time. But at least you get more info than folks were getting six months ago. I imagine Lucid will improve this tool over time.

The main reason for our trackers was to help us get a clue about our orders, since Lucid wasn’t saying much of anything in the early days. So we’d share info about our orders and from that try and “guess” what it meant for our particular car’s “journey.” It wasn’t very accurate, either, but at least it gave us something to speculate about.

Now that Lucid updates customers a bit more regularly, there’s less need to try and deduce much from a list of cars in a chart. Feel free to keep sharing updates of your own personal progress, though. Folks are usually quite happy to hear when someone is getting closer to ownership.

Thanks, Joe. My Dashboard says I’m still “preparing for production” - - have been for ever so long, and I know others have said the Dashboard is unreliable at best, so I was hoping for another means to keep up to date. The Delivery Tracker was interesting to me because I could see the status of others with the same order combination as mine.

The tracker was becoming an enormous amount of work, especially for @joec . If anyone here would like to start a separate tracking system, I imagine many would appreciate it.

I hope that people will continue to post any updates. I don't mind just following this thread.

My Mojave car still seems to be stuck at Casa Grande, much like @Pax's car, and I'm certainly interested in any movement in that batch...

my car as been “in production” since Christmas Eve….What are the next phases on the dashboard?

Story of a few of our lives especially those of us who inexplicably reverted from "in production" to "preparing for production." With that said, as of last weekend, there was/is a GT in ZR/SC/21's for $119,000 at a dealership in California. If I wasn't on the East Coast, I would have pulled the trigger.

Thanks for maintaining the tracker as long. For the models in production, we now have a pretty food idea of the time it takes from finalize to order to VIN to delivery. For the ones not yet in production, the tracker has no meaning. I hope the dashboard shows real status. Often it was known to say "In Production" when the car was actually at the delivery location. I guess they wanted to under-promise. In any case, there is a lot of competition coming in 23 and lot more in 24 for all the EVs and that should motivate all the automakers to keep the customer better informed.

Case in example Fisker email I got:

we are committed to making your Fisker ownership experience transparent, easy to understand, and fun. Our goal is to keep you informed about everything and anything happening with your Fisker Ocean order. To remove any guesswork, we’ll notify you of changes affecting your account, updates happening at Fisker, and important news related to your Fisker Ocean order.

We will provide you with more detailed information in February. As your vehicle production date approaches, you'll receive an update with the Calendar Quarter we estimate your delivery will fall within (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4). As more information becomes available, we will narrow your estimated delivery date by month, week, and exact delivery date.

Same here, with no info on the hold up. If I lose my rate lock I'm done with Lucid
This is why I didn't/haven't applied for financing yet. No communication from Lucid about the delay and status of my car. I'm sorry to hear you may lose your locked in rate.
