Hi all,
So I noticed that the same song sounds worse (lacking bass and emphasis?) on wireless Carplay vs Sirius or even FM radio.

Is there a setting I need to enable to make Carplay sound better?

People talking how Carplay sounds good but not getting that for me.

Thanks in advance.

Use the wired CarPlay. Apple compresses the audio for the wireless connection.

Wired, wireless, either way, there's no way CarPlay should sound worse than FM radio. Something is up with your car. Or your phone.

If audio quality is important lossless files on a USB Drive FTW.

Thanks all I was hoping not to use wired but guess it has to be done.

I’ll try my wife’s phone.

Where are you located? Perhaps a local owner could help you by comparing your car to his/hers.

I do have a service appointment for the recall so I’ll compare it there.

Another thing to add for service is none of my USB-C ports are working! No power and no Carplay.
USB-A works…

Thank you all for the advice.

My non-scientific comparison is that Spotify via the Lucid in-car app always sounds better than Spotify via wireless CarPlay.

I was tempted to sign up for Tidal to use the in car app but I already got Apple Music.

Built in apps on Lucid always sounds better than through carplay in my opinion. I believe that has been the general consensus in this group as far as I can tell. I don't think wired or wireless carplay is going to change that.

I had a similar issue shortly after I got the car a couple years ago. I think I reset car and they started working. Have you tried that?

I have not. The air logo reset I’m assuming?

So I read somewhere on here that both USB ports (C and A) in the front should support wired Apple Carplay but for me only the A port does.
Is this correct?

I had mine replaced and again the C port is intermittent in charging using 3 different Apple USB-C cables...

Both should work. If both don’t, something is wrong and you should have service check it out further.

Does wireless CarPlay work for you?

Guess I need to bring it back.
Service replaced the whole center console as that is the only way to replace the USB they said.

Wireless CarPlay works and charging seems to work but sometimes intermittently from USB-C.
But the sound quality with CarPlay is worse than SiriusXM. Lacks bass.
