I have seen threads with window problems but not sure I have seen this one exactly. When we got in the vehicle this am, the window on the passenger side went up and down continuously and would not stop. Finally, it stopped after about 10 minutes but not sure how we fixed it. When my daughter got out of the car, it started again. And the passenger side button on the driver's door won't work either. A reboot did not work. I have seen mixed comments on whether the window malfunctions are software or hardware. Anyone have a solution? Also, it isn't that cold here - upper 30s.

Sounds like service needs to put a new window regulator in as they have for several others posters on this forum.
oh, and Brrrrrrr...window down in cold weather does not sound fun!

Thanks. Is this something that has to be done by service or can mobile take care of it? We haven’t had the best luck with service today and don’t know the process to get this fixed.

Has the 3.3.22 update been pushed to your car?

I called Customer Service yesterday to ask why it had been pushed to our newer Gravity several weeks ago but not yet received by our older Gravity. They said it was only being pushed to certain cars and that all it really did was address problems with window operation in those cars.

Of course, they then said our older Gravity would not receive it. I then told them that that car had periodic problems with the window moving in the opposite direction that the switch was pushed or pulled.

We do not have that update. Will ask SC to push it to us. They did tell us that update will deal with window problems. Trying to get SC to take the Gravity in today even if it can't be worked on for a few days. We don't have a garage and are part of the 2/3 of the country that has to deal with this winter storm. We would like it to be under cover at the SC.

It seems there are quirks to the window. On the 2nd day of ownership of my Gavity (early Jan), when I opened the front passenger door, the window crept down ( as it is supposed to to do clear the weather stripping) but, when I closed the door, the window did creep back up - it remained down in that small drop. When opening the door again, the window crept down again (thinking that it was in the full upright position) and again, when closing door, the window remained in that position. The window was now open about an inch. I repeated numerous times to the point that the window was 1/2 way down and not returning upon closing. The only fix was to shut off car and restart. I've not seen any similar experiences such as mine? Any takers?

I had a non-operating front passenger window that cleared itself after deep sleep.

Can't tell you what, how or why on that one...

Might need a new window regulator...several posters on here have had theirs replaced

Does the Gravity have a way to "reset" the max height of the window? My Land Rover has that for when it occasionally won't go back all the way for the auto-up after a software update. The reset always fixes it.

Just got the gravity and it is doing this on the passenger door. Were you able to get it resolved?

I think there is a bug in 3.6.0 that if you put the passenger window down partially it won't go back up, you have to put it all the way down and then back up again.

3.6 has improved my lucid experiences BUT, the window irregularities have worsened. I can no longer expect proper window functions so, I've become a contortionist with the constant looking behind me to see what the outcome of my latest window requests produces!

The 3.6.0 release notes mention that the windows are a known issue.

I’ve had intermittent window problems for the passenger window (and only the passenger window), once a month or two, for just about every release. Once with 3.6.0. so far. The latest one was while parked, which went away after a few minutes of driving.

I reported to swfeedback and am having service look at it.

My windows have been more problematic since 3.6 update. Now my driver side window keeps going back down once it goes all the way up. The only way to get it to stay up is to slowly creep it up little by little, or pull and hold the switch up multiple times until the window stays up (usually 3rd time). However, once its fully up, the window does not "crack open" when you open the door, so when you close it, the window is too high for the window sill and bangs against it. So you have to open the window just enough to leave room for it to clear the door sill.

Nothing to do with the software. That is either your door seals (which is an easy fix) or the window control/motor (which is easy too) but either requires service.

Hmm looking earlier in the thread it seems it may be that it lost its programming for the up position. Will try the reset method...

Yup, it lost its programming for the down position actually. Pushing the button down twice and holding for 3+ seconds after it hit the maximum lowered position resolved my problems.
