I'm really hoping at some point there will be an option for the metal roof on Gravity.
Curious what others here think.

Pretty sure Touring will give you a metal roof, they have to cut the cost somewhere.

I’m not smart enough to know the real answer but the glass roof seems instrumental to offering headroom and a non-claustrophobic feeling in the 3rd row. How much headroom is lost with a metal roof and headliner? An inch?

My working assumption is that the evolution of the Gravity will resemble that of the Air. The Air initially only offered a glass roof, and then eventually the metal roof became a rare option, and now it's readily available from models in inventory. I don't know if the Gravity Touring will be followed by a Gravity Pure or not, but I think that one of the lower cost trims will offer a metal roof. But not this year.

This is a great question. I haven't yet seen or driven the Gravity but I do have some reservations about the extended glass windshield going over my head with no sun shade so if Lucid were to offer a metal roof in the Touring edition, that could be a better fit for me. I would hope they do offer that version and if you ever need to replace the windshield, it would most certainly cost less. But when I do get to test drive a Gravity GT, I may like the windshield.

the glass overhead has a 90% tint. I have a hard time believing it will bother anyone.

Not everyone likes the sun and light shining through a sunroof. I generally keep the powered shade closed on our EQS SUV. Just a matter of preference. At least our Mercedes gives me the option to close the shade where the Gravity offers not such built in option.

True, but the sunshades are already in the store, fyi. They work exceptionally well on the Air (it’s probably literally the only Lucid item I’ve never seen a single negative review on, heh), so I suspect they’ll be good on Gravity too.

Are those shades for the Gravity as well? Do you have a link?
