I found some 3" wide carbon fiber tape on Amazon and started chrome deleting the rocker panel. I have only had the car for a week and only have about an hour a night to work on it so far.

I don't like the all black of the Stealth Package on the wheels, so I created my own template and turned the 10 spoke wheels into 5 spoke, which I think helps the car a lot. It just looks way too busy with the 10 spoke pattern and really contradicts the smooth lines everywhere else IMO. This is just my prefference. If you like it stock then just look at my car from the passenger side because I didn't get to that side yet.

The wheel, 10-spoke to 5-spoke conversion stickers were cut from gloss black premium vinyl and applied like a sign shop would do. It doesn't take too long but requires some patients. I put some foam on the floor to do it laying down. It will probably be about $60 in materials to get my DIY Stealth look.

My goal is to get around the whole car and at least chrome delete the lower bright areas. The name badge on the back end of the roof does not bother me. I also like the mirrors the way they are. I might wrap the area under the headlights but I am undesided on that.

Looks great so far. Should you choose to chrome-delete the light bar in the front, I would be interested in seeing how you do it.

I really like the wheel change. Would you be willing to cut extra patterns and sell them?

Careful with vinyl film/wrap. 3M / Avery Dennison are two of the better brands.
If you get some of the cheap stuff, it can very likely pull paint from the car when being removed.

On the wheels, I had gloss black Avery or Oracal 951 premium vinyl. I had two left over rolls in the same box, so I am not sure what I grabbed. I have no idea on the 3" wide carbon tape from Amazon. I plan on only using that over the platinum parts which look to be some sort of electroplated injection molded part, so I don't think it's going over paint. I usually use heat when removing, and I can't think of a time I took paint with it. If it's really old the vinyl gets brittle and the adhesive stays, but this will be on for 23 months maximum so I am not anticipating a problem. If I sold this as a precut kit I think I would use the 3M 2080 film, but I didn't have that handy. Thank you for your concern and I appreciate the comments.

I like what you did with your wheels. Do you think it would look equally good WITHOUT the aero inserts? I keep mine off, and have silver center hubs with black lug nut covers.

I think it would look better without the aero covers. The vinyl is on the wheels so with or without the aero covers should not matter. I will try to update with a photo or two this weekend. I hope to have the chrome delete finished this weekend.

Here is what it looks like without the Aero covers. Actually, it is easier to install the vinyl without them on.

I can make you a set for $60 if that works for you. It will have clear transfer tape on them to make the installation easier. I will ship them flat in a rigid mailer.

That works. I'll DM you later.

That's a very nice looking wheel. I will probably take off the aero covers but trying to figure out the loss in range.

Recommendation on using this to cover the dashboard chrome that reflects on the windshield or any other tape that won't leave much residue? I took the delivery yesterday and that reflection was right infront of my eyes running horizontally on the windshield like a cracked window. It was putting so much stress on my eyes. I might have caught it during the test drive but never test drove. Probably not a deal breaker but I want to cover it.

I have had them off my Pure AWD since new, and have averaged 3.7 miles per kilowatt hour. That's over about 8,000 miles with a 50/50 mix of freeway and regular driving. I would guess 5% loss at the most.

I will let you know. I have same problem with that chrome strip on the dash. I am going to try the carbon tape because I have a bunch left.
