As more Lucid vehicles move out of their factory warranty period, owners are starting to face the realities of repair and maintenance costs without coverage. I've found service to be helpful and consistent throughout my ownership.

This new thread is meant to share information, real-world experiences, and estimates related to out-of-warranty repairs — including labor rates, parts pricing, and how Lucid’s service model compares to traditional automakers. Whether you’re nearing the end of your warranty or just planning ahead, feel free to contribute your experiences and ask questions here.

I recently crossed 60,000 miles on my 2022 Lucid Air Grand Touring. The car is holding up amazing. Especially to the "abuse" I put it through, but now that I'm outside the basic warranty, I’ve been giving a lot more thought to potential repair and labor costs down the line. I wanted to start this thread to not only share what I’ve learned so far but also hear from others who might be approaching, or have already passed, their warranty limits.

I also think if we keep a running list of the repair costs it might be helpful, so I'll include an comment-able google doc, if you have data you wanna share please let me know and I'll update it. (if there is an easier way always open to suggestions):

I have a supplement that eventually led to the totaling of the car covering a significant number of parts. This was pre adjustment from the insurance company on parts, labor hours, and pricing.

Expect $150+ hourly rates for labor. If you had specific parts in mind, I can likely find it in the report and provide an estimated cost.

Is there a way to incorporate base labor rate since it varies by location?

Should I add in a location tab? I think if we get too granular it won’t be too helpful, I think adding a location tab and general “part/laymen name of part” column could be helpful.

Let me know if you could send me the supplement via dm, and I’ll add it in. Open to suggestions re: format of information too.

Has anyone simply considered asking Lucid for their parts / costs list? That may be protected info, I have no idea. Might be worth asking them though.

I volunteer you as tribute. I’ve never heard of a car company publishing their parts list to non-repair shops. But I could be mistaken.

Whatever you think about the itemized list above, the issue for me (many of us) is that we would be responsible for transporting to/from the SC, which for me would be an added $3-4k

Depending on how far away you are from the SC, many credit cards have emergency tow services as a benefit. I know J.P. Morgan and Amex both have pretty robust emergency tow services especially if you are "Traveling" away from home... YMMV...

Huh, this is a great point I don’t normally think of. Is that true even with my *own* vehicle and not one I’ve rented with the card?

Yep, I have always used them on my personal vehicle instead of rented vehicles. But interrogate your cardmember agreement for more info.
