What are some software things you LIKE about the car?

I really want to focus on software items you enjoy compared to other (modern) cars. Please don't compare something against like a 2002 Civic 😅. Our most recent vehicles are a 2016 Ford and a 2015 BMW, both of which we absolutely enjoy the software so much more than the Air. Yes, there are great things in the Air, but nearly all seem to be hardware/engineering. Unfortunately, leases were not available in our state so we took out a loan for a car we have a love/hate relationship with (due both to software and hardware/being in the shop several times), but also do not want to sell, so we're really trying to focus on positives here.

DreamDrive Pro is fantastic, in general, in my experience. Surreal Sound Pro sounds great and I love the new immersion settings in the Gravity.

I actually love the UX of the infotainment system; I just wish it were less buggy. For 95% of my use tho? Works great. The infotainment bugs now are just having to switch between screens if it doesn’t load right or something, so as easy as just another tap or two.

I also really like the new see-through vehicle camera display.
 
Only a month and a half in, but what I like about the software so far is...
  • Added functionality for the seat controls.
  • DreamDrive Pro, though I am having some issues with it now.
  • Native mapping is pretty good. Haven't road tripped it yet so jury is still out on integration of charging stops and pre-conditioning, but I've been very pleased with this functionality of the native mapping, route planning, and pre-conditioning with other EVs in the household and expect the Air to function similar unless it proves differently.
  • The 360 degree camera integration is outstanding.
  • The HomeLink integration is outstanding, especially the fact that it brings up my choices when I'm within close proximity of my property.
  • The amount of detail that is available on the Trip screen is very useful and helpful.

WOW! 10 year old software is more liked than 2023 Air! That is a stinging rebuke to Lucid! 10 year old Dodge or GM software was just an electronic screen showing digital results from analog controls!

Obviously, it's your opinion, but I have a Gravity - I can't imagine going back to my 2025 Durango, especially if it didn't have CarPlay.

My car will be back today with 3.4.1, so I'll report back soon - but, Dolby Atmos stands out HUGE!

I still find it unique and always liked the permanent touch screen buttons on the left of the cockpit in both Gravity and Air for the wipers, defrost and frunk and trunk opening that I always use. Most of it requires a slightly higher pressure and longer press if you are wearing gloves in the winter but I am pleasantly surprised I can get it to work without taking my gloves off.
 
I love the "Optimistic Temperature" feature. Every time I get in the car, it tries to convince me that it's 20 degrees warmer. Hopefully in the summer it shows me it's 20 degrees cooler!

Wish we could arrange them though, the charge port thing is way less usefull than opening the trunk would be.

Honestly, same. I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but the Gravity only has lucid nav and it’s been completely uneventful for us. It just works, hasn’t taken us to the wrong place, etc.

One time it took us to the back of a bank of chargers instead of the front, lol.

I know others have had issues with it, but apparently for my use case it works perfectly fine.
 
I think the graphic design of the Lucid UX is great, remarkably good for a first vehicle (I have a 2025 Air so I didn't see the initial versions in 2022). The menu system and how the controls are laid out is also pretty intuitive and easy to use. When I have passengers, the only thing that seems to throw them off is not having the massage controls on the same screen as the seat heat/ventilation. Other than that, you can use the interface without anyone explaining anything to you. The phone app is also pretty nice looking and simple to use while still offering useful features like turning on climate control.

Edit - almost forgot, I like how to the garage control pops up right when I pull up in front of my driveway. Maybe that's standard nowadays but I came from a 10 year old car and just had the homelink buttons on my rear view mirror. I wouldn't say no to having those physical buttons again, but the fact homelink automatically pops up on the screen is a nice touch.

Same with me, I've never had an issue with the navigation. Even took us off the beaten path in Joshua Tree to some extremely remote location and got us to the exact spot we needed to be. Maybe CA is just mapped out better 🤷‍♂️

I like that too, with an asterisk. Showing "Add New Homelink" while approaching the driveway is plain dumb. You can't add a link while driving. Also, make the link to open/close the garage a big fat button. It is very unlikely there are multiple homelink entries that are associated with that location, just show the right one and make it easier to click.

So you are saying I shouldn't complain to service and file a bug to get it calibrated correctly?:P

In my case the current setup is just right. I have a gate and a garage. When I approach, both are listed. I push gate first, then garage. Then when I'm parked the reverse order.

Last week I had my wife pick me up in her Tesla. FSD turned into the driveway of the business next door to where I was to be picked up. Even the OG gets confused sometimes.
 
@socktucker , @martinjlm - Will Lucid software automatically trigger Homelink device to activiate when you get within the assigned geofenced target? I've started to monitor these threads to learn about Lucid capability versus what I'm accustomed to on my Tesla Model S. With my MS I have multiple garage door openers programmed, but have the middle bay where the Model S gets parked to automatically open as I turn into the driveway. Is something like that not currently supported via Lucid software? I see both of you saying it presents the options on the screen automatically, but you still need to press icon on the screen to have it activate.

I like that version better - I've programmed the steering wheel button to be homelink - I wouldn't want to have to reach aaaallll that way to the Clearview panel to push a button. 😅

Correct. Not an option with the Lucid
