The latest version in Europe was the ancient 2.2.10 and now we just upgraded to version 2.6.5. Did we just leapfrog the US version?

Given the huge jump I can't tell how that differs from the latest US rev. Anyone know how to check?

Check out @Bobby site to compare what you had, what we have (2.6.0 or 2.6.2) and what your notes currently state. My guess it’s Europe version of 2.6.0 series.

Thanks!
I tried to compare the lists but it’s difficult as this single update contains all 2.3, 2.4,2.5 and 2.6 updates and reads like a book.

Overall a great improvement 😁

We do have a fully adaptive lighting system here which shapes the light beam (similar to European intelligent lighting systems - just using less segments). If I recall, the U.S. system is still just auto-high beam. Correct?

They have also improved the traffic sign recognition system, along with giving these annoying audible speed limit alerts ;)

You can switch that in the settings (at least in NA) to visual-only instead of visual & audio

Just received got an update to 2.6.5. in Norway

The things I immediately noticed were the following:
- Faster CSS handshake (time between plugging in and charging)
- Charging stations are better recognized
- Snappier user interface
- Much faster "waking up" when initiating from the mobile app

- Improved mobile key recognition
- Improved auto-wipers

In my opinion this was a huge improvement for an otherwise already great car. For us Europeans, coming from 2.2.10 we get to experience how far the software has improved in one year's time. Loving it.

The problem I'm experiencing is that it automatically switches back on after each drive (2.6.5 in Europe)

Unfortunately no. Lucid customer service claims this is intended behavior for compliance purposes. When making this button sticky (e.g. storing its state in memory), it becomes impossible to guarantee that the person who switched off the button is always the current driver.
Personally I feel that this is threading a bit much of the cautious side.

On the positive side, the chime is gentle enough. And after several weeks of driving since the update I don't even notice it anymore. My brain has simply classified this as white noise.

Hmm ridiculous. That is what profiles are for right…. Hmmm

Yes, I was slightly confused by this myself. As a result I did some digging and found that this behavior is indeed mandatory as per regulation EC 2019/2044 which came into effect last July. The "intelligent Speed Assistance" section is very specific that the warning system must be turned on every time the car starts. Quoting:

"When the system is switched off, information about the speed limit maybe provided. The system should be always active when switching the ignition on and the driver should always be made aware of whether the system is on or off."

Lucid's implementation is simply following the new EU laws. Other car manufacturers that have an alternative implementation are non-compliant with EU law. as far as I can tell.

I guess I will have to make a habit then to turn it off. Frustrating.... Here in the Netherlands, speed limit signs and changes are regular, so it annoys me and my passengers...
