Strange behavior
As I opened the driver's door, I inadvertently placed my iPhone, which was unlocked to open the door, above the camera located on the center column. The same spot where you need to place the Lucid service card. To my surprise, the Apple Wallet app opened without any intervention. I repeated the action, and each time, the Wallet app opens. Is this safe, or how can I prevent this?
Should Lucid be informed to pay special attention to this?

NFC chips tend to open the Apple wallet (more of an Apple design than Lucid). If you have a few NFC enabled credit cards in your wallet, and place your phone on top of your wallet, it might do the same thing.

I dont see this being a security issue by any means, but also not sure if Lucid can do anything about it since they need the NFC tech for the Lucid credit card key to work.

This is normal, and not unsafe behavior.

Perfectly harmless. Put your phone next to anything that reads NFC and it will do that. So long as the Lucid isn’t asking for money, nothing will happen.

It’s a very welcome iPhone feature when I come home to my front door and place my phone next to our lock. It reads the NFC, then my face and auto-unlocks the door. It’s sooooo 2025 🛸
