I’ve now had my Lucid Air Touring for two weeks. First the obvious….This is an amazing car. I absolutely love it. Perfect? No…of course not. Here are my initial thoughts in no particular order, and am curious if others agree:

  • SiriusXm/Surreal Sound Pro. There’s been lots of discussion about the Lucid SSP. My thoughts, coming from a B&O Audi system: It’s pretty good, but I haven’t used the Tidal app and Dolby Atmos. Guessing most drivers have not. I’ve had to reboot the software once when the system basically wouldn’t work. (Nothing would….SiriusXM, Spotify, even AM/FM.). The sound is enjoyable. The interface, is only OK. Frankly, it’s hard to select or view other XM stations while driving. I know I can use ‘Hey Lucid’, but haven’t made too much use of this. Overall…still like the features and sound. B+

  • Navigation System. Surprisingly, enjoy it very much. I was a dedicated Waze user, needing the traffic reports, driving in NYC and in constant traffic. However, because CarPlay essentially reduces the maps to a tiny portion of the right screen, I found the experience far worse than the Lucid Navigation. Turns out, the features, using both screens, battery info and more than adequate traffic routing has made this a surprising win for me. I still miss the reports of police cars on the road, (it’s super hard to keep the AT under the speed limit) but for now, I’m exclusively a Lucid Navi user. A-

  • Charging/Nerd Stats. Like many others, I find the “stats” surprisingly light. Sure, you can see Miles/Kwh, but how about length of trip in Hours/Minutes? About a log of charging and lifetime stats on Miles/Kwh with the ability to see by month or season? All of these things would probably be relatively simple to add and may already be tracked on the back end. Obviously, like others, would like to be able to schedule from my charger, but honestly, the “charge after this time” and “charge up to this percent” works fine. B

  • Driving. This. Car. Is. A. Beast. Confidence-inspiring. Easy to pass, easy to get on highways, incredible power. Wide open cabin (with the glass canopy). An absolute pleasure A++

  • Trunk/Frunk. The space between the two areas (Trunk/Frunk) is more than adequate. However, the dimensions are a little weird. I had to take my elderly mother somewhere yesterday and picked her up. Her walker barely fit in the trunk. I mean barely. My Audi swallowed that thing up no problem. I think if you’re taking trips with a bunch of bags, the trunk and frunk would be great. Overall, still like the storage, but the dimensions are more vertical than horizontal in use of space. Not really a criticism, just a comment B+

  • Headrest/Seats. Ok this is a bit weird, but I wanted to adjust the headrest. It’s a little too far back. Long story short, I called my delivery specialist, and he told me my 14-way power seats has no adjustment for the headrest. Only the 20-way seats do. Strange. Can’t even adjust manually. Not the biggest deal, as the seats are extremely comfortable otherwise. A-

  • Mobile Key. For me, works almost every time. I turned off passive entry. (Didn't really want all four of my doors opening as I approach.) I simply touch the door handle and it opens. I think twice I had to do it a couple of times or use the app to open. Love not carrying a fob around with me. B+

  • Looks: I laughingly said to my wife, the worst part of owning the Lucid is you can’t see yourself driving this car. It’s a really beautify car. Last night, drove it home in a light rain. (Handled beautifully.). I stepped out to plug it in before heading into the house and had to snap a picture of what she looks like at night with the lights on. (See directly below.) Who knew? You never really see the outside of the car at night. Why? Because you’re always behind the wheel? The car is awesome A+

Overall, I’m thrilled with my new AT. And…love being able to be part of this community. We all understand that the nit picks are made with love. I don’t know what my “scores” average, but overall, I’m giving her an A

Re: stats, you should install Home Assistant and the Lucid integration. Collect all the stats you’d like. :)

Thank you @borski . Definitely going to consider that. Would have to start from scratch and learn more about how HA works, how to install, how to maintain. Can you recommend any videos or sites that give summaries/tutorials?
