Took 2K mile road trip, now looking to sell Gravity

Its a Supernova Bronze on 21/22s. Has all options except tow package, Ojai interior. Full PPF and ceramic tint on all glass. Its coming up on 12K miles.
To update on selling, Carvana and Autonation are both working on proposals, but I told them I wanted $100K...and they are still talking so who knows. Some other company (name eludes me at the moment) offered $33K so I jumped on that!! NOT.

Did you try to get an offer from Evercars? Since they specialize it might be more appropriate.

When I bought my Air they really wanted my low-mile Model Y and had competitive money.

I love everything about the Gravity...I do, its just not that fun to drive to me, and more importantly... my wife. I only discovered that after a week of hell in Baltimore traffic, so I am actually going to clear my head from the trip and take it out again for the day next week and see if I have a new or different perspective.

The Gravity has relatively poor visibility, which makes it a more difficult car for me to drive in city traffic. The view out the rearview mirror is bad, and those thick/long A-pillars make for a lot of leaning forward to see around. Plus I can't sit high like I prefer, which normally creates better visibility in most cars but turns the Gravity rearview from bad to worse. And completely kills the HUD.

Plus it's just a bigger/longer car than I'm used to with our Macan and previously our Mach-E. Feels a little more like a boat. Just makes it harder to drive in congestion and tighter spots. But on the open highway it's great (which is most of our driving).

I still hope they add a live rear camera view with a future software upgrade.

“Owning a Lucid has been super disappointing” really nailed the overall sentiment for those of us that wanted a 100% reliability and functionality like comparable manufacturers have. Their software has ruined the experience.

This is a Gravity thread. “Owning a Lucid has been super disappointing” was about the Air and there has been plenty of discussion on the objectiveness and value of that video on a thread dedicated to that video. I’d appreciate staying on topic, positive or negative, instead of turning this thread into yet another general bashing of Lucid.

I would say the sentiment applies but I can see your point too.

Bugs aside Gravity is still cool. IMO.

It does sound like it's too big a car for you. For city traffic, I use the turn signal cameras for everything rather than trying to look around. That provides plenty of visibility IMO, and the car's performance is so good that I find it's very easy to dip in and out of lanes at a moment's notice. The car doesn't feel like a boat to me, but again, for everyone it's different. My wife used to drive a Suburban, which is absolutely a boat.

I too read those stories about how bad FSD is, but being objective, it is usually a case of (or combinations of) complete mis use of the system, bad reporting, and/or people using "autopilot" as if it were the same thing as FSD.
But I'm not here to sell anyone that, it just so happened I had the same thought as you as you, except from the opposite side of the spectrum obviously.

Just the opposite - it's great for me because we do very little city traffic and do tons of road-tripping on the open road. If I wasn't retired and I was doing daily commutes thru crowded city traffic, I probably would opt for a smaller car for that. But for our needs (80% road-tripping), it's a good fit.

DD2 standard doesn't provide the turn signal displays, sadly. That's part of why I have a service appointment to upgrade it to DD2 Premium next month. That will (partially) mitigate the relatively subpar visibility I speak of. I was referring to the natural visibility of the car, not the camera views that help mitigate that some.

While there's truth in many of these complaints (FSD vs DD Pro, A-pillars blocking view, view out the rear window not great, built-in Nav being sub-par), for us, we're very happy to have upgraded from Model X LRd to the Gravity GT. It's a much quieter car, with way better handling and riding, much more comfortable, etc. After long drives, we are much less tired than having done the same drive in out previous Model Xs, so that pretty much says it all - and even with FSD being better in the X than DD in the Gravity. Oh, and chargingl even at Tesla SuperChargers, is much faster with the Gravity than the Teslas.

Is it larger than a 3? Certainly, and if that bothers you, you chose the wrong car. It's not larger than the X, and thanks to rear steering it has a tighter turning radius so in parking lots and such it maneuvers better.

With CarPlay, we avoid many of the navigation's faults, such as saying "Highway one-hundred and one" instead of "Highway one-oh-one," as well as saying the route number of roads that no sign on the road says is the route number (CA-G12 near Hollister for instance), saying "keep right" instead of "Take the exit", etc. But, CarPlay doesn't do the multi-stop with charging locations, so that's a bummer, too. Heck, Lucid doesn't even tell you when you've charged enough to continue your trip - and worse, it doesn't update the arrival range as it charges. Tesla does have navigation nailed, making Lucid's offering pale in comparison.

The touring only gets about 300 miles real world, it’s the Grand Touring with the bigger battery.

That would be nice. Or at least get the "manually enter the SOC" feature working (although maybe that's a Google problem right now?).

But even without that, I much prefer AA nav anyway, and that's what I use. I'm not one that likes to push every road trip leg down to the very last possible charger. Especially in a Lucid with all that range. When you only have 200 miles of realistic range, I can see doing that, but not with 350+. All that range gives me the luxury of driving it like an ICE car. By the 3 hour mark I usually wanna stop and stretch my legs anyway. And I'm used to scoping out my own charger choices. All DCFC is not equal (far from it), so I wanna be discriminating and have my own plan. I don't wanna let the car pick. Some networks are better than others, power levels vary a lot, and prices vary a lot, some locations are better than others, etc.

Grand Touring. But at the moment I only have DD2 standard. I'm upgrading next month to DD2 Premium which adds more camera views.

Does 360 stay on at high speeds, or is it only available at slow speed (parking)? I assumed it was only the latter but don't actually know.

Plus I think that's a different angle anyway than what I'm referring to with a live rearview to mimic the partially blocked rearview mirror view. (Although maybe that's not even possible with the current camera, that may be aimed toward the ground instead?)

I find it funny how two experiences in the same car can be completely different. I got my GGT at the end of April ('26) and, when it only had 100 miles on the odometer, left for a ~1,900 mile round trip from NYC to Atlanta. Now, granted, my last car was a 2014 BMW X3 with 150,000 miles and a nav system that hadn't been updated since 2014 and hasn't had traffic info or any other downloaded content for at least the last 5 years, but I found that the Gravity's nav system worked very well. Not perfect, but very well.

Some of the issues I had were related to my inexperience with it, but I noted the SOC on arrival %, desired charge speed (drive longer and charge longer, or stop more often and charge faster), etc. I found it did a great job and I never had any technical issues with it. I did have to countermand it at times, which generally occurred for one of two reasons - 1) I changed my mind about particular stops I wanted to make (like I saw an Ionna stop along the way and this is my first EV ever, so I wanted to see what Ionna stops were like. Ditto for trying Tesla, Electrify America and other charges), and 2) I realized that I did not want to arrive in Atlanta with a 10% SOC because I didn't know what charging ability the hotel had (turns out they charged my car for free...)

I also have DD Premium, not Pro - so bought the car not expecting self-drive (kind of kicking myself for that as I see 3.6 roll out) - and it functioned very well in non-construction areas. Made the drive actually enjoyable and comfortable. I have seen weird issues in the nav system since - like it takes a while to zero in on my location sometimes when I start driving it after a while. (I live in NYC and garage the car underground. The location finding ability definitely gets screwed up by the concrete and metal and takes a little while to recalibrate once out in the open. (I had a slight panic attack the first time I saw this location issue on the app and saw my car located somewhere in central NJ... It was actually safely in the garage in NYC). I am also trying to figure out how to best show trip details when intermediate charge stops are required. I like seeing both the final destination timing and expected SOC and the "next" (charge stop) destination timing and expected SOC but haven't figured out how to best have this displayed how I like it.

360 "Surround View Monitoring" is only a parking feature. You can turn on the "Halo" cameras manually when driving but they do not give a live view at speed.

I also have DD2 Standard (and dynamic handling package), and after taking delivery I was surprised to find that the 360 view for parking was *not* included. I chose the base DD because I have zero interest in anything "Self Driving" or ADAS beyond cruise-control for speed. Coming from a Polestar 2 BST (which was exquisite to drive on twisty highways) one of the selling points of the GGT for me was the joy of actually driving it rather than just riding along in it like a distracted passenger.

And part of my disgruntlement on this issue is that in researching which packages I wanted, I downloaded & studied the Gravity Owner's Manual. It clearly indicates (p. 122) that the "Surround View Monitoring" is included in the base Dream Drive's parking functionality.

Seems like a mistake (or a decision?) was made, and the surround view capability was deleted in the DD2 Standard software. I really think that this should be corrected, rather than requiring a $1500 upgrade to get a bunch of ADAS stuff that I don't want, just to turn on the cameras that are already there.

The Gravity GT is a big vehicle with compromised visibility, and, especially considering the price-point, the 360 view for parking really should be standard.
