Yes and no. For the first 4-5 years this will work. Some where in years 7 - 10 the heavy road salt used in the northeast will cause rust to expand the rotor around the outer venting. Eventually this will cause a pulsating pedal. Every brake job I've done was needed to correct this corrosion problem not to replace worn pads.

Yeah, same here. I've never driven on a salted road so wouldn't know about it and having salt on the road wouldn't occur to me as a standard driving surface.
