The NEXT update

That's why, even though as @bicycleguy has illuminated it isn't really necessary for battery life preservation, I still toss my fob in the Faraday pouch I have hanging on the key hook in the kitchen when I enter the house...no harm no foul but the habit prevents the headlights coming on whenever and bugging my neighbors
 
The cars hardware is great and it runs amazingly well
I just want more features and to have it meet or exceed features of major rivals.

Hoping for big update soon. Any news ?

If you are thinking investor event that’s an announcement at best…nothing on the horizon at least 2 weeks out.

On the 09 Nov Q3 Earnings Call, I expect to hear updates on the following: cash burn (operating reset), service & support, partnerships (Nuro & Uber), AMP-2, and Cosmos.

Earnings call updates on those topics constitute news to me, and that call is 10 days out.

Perhaps @marqie should make the higher-ups aware of these expectations as I'm quite sure the majority of owners share the opinion that these constitute pertinent news
 
On the next earnings call, I expect an update on availability of the gap filler. Kidding.

Would be nice to get an update on a renewed timeline for tech updates that were previously announced on the last call that never came to fruition (city hands free etc.)

Considering the way they're running their service operation, an extended warranty would be either a huge money loser for them, or else so expensive that few would buy it. Just the loaner car costs are adding up to absurd amounts, what with the weeks of time vehicles sit ignored at service centers before a mechanic gets around to looking at them. Since they're trying to improve their cash burn, my bet is that they're not going to offer an extended warranty plan until they've solved some of their service issues.
 
I'm surprised we haven't seen a software update yet. Maybe they're timing it to align with the earnings call?
 
My wishlist:

I’d love to see the traffic visualization on the driver screen even without engaging cruise control or lane-keeping. It’s helpful to see other drivers nearby before checking side views and blind spots.

Also, I would like to be able to adjust climate control and music volume without obstructing the bottom menu buttons, i.e., be able to click on climate immediately after toggling fan speed down, or click on music after toggling volume down, without first waiting for the obstructing acknowledgement to disappear.

With the new leadership team barely being in place for less than one quarter, it's NOT surprising we haven't seen a new update as I'm sure they're making every effort to ensure the next update rolls out smoothly so the constant whining on various Internet forums will be limited.
 
Massive software updates would go a long way

Also a gap cover being available would be nice. It’s been out for 6 months.

I was told a new vendor was being used but so far nothing.
