That's why, even though as @bicycleguy has illuminated it isn't really necessary for battery life preservation, I still toss my fob in the Faraday pouch I have hanging on the key hook in the kitchen when I enter the house...no harm no foul but the habit prevents the headlights coming on whenever and bugging my neighbors
