Tesla Supercharger first experience

Any ideas as to when the 50 kW level limit on Airs with Tesla chargers will change? There are only a couple of V4 superchargers around but they will ramp. That is the limitation correct?

It's not about a brand like Tesla. The Air was specifically designed for 800V charging system and not 400V.

The industry is going for 800V charging but not Tesla. Most of its cars and charging stations are 400V.

Tesla has planned V4 Supercharger with 1000V but its implementation is in question because it shutdowns its Model S and X for robot Optimus assembly. It no longer prioritize car business anymore. Thus, Tesla 800V rollout might be very slow.

The Gravity is designed for both 400 and 800V charging systems. It's unknown whether future Air will be redesigned to do the same. I would not count on retrofitting 400V Air into 800V system.

Tesla “super”chargers are really for emergency use on an air due to the slow speed. Have zero interest in using them. Prefer to let everyone else rush over there and leave the non-Tesla chargers to me.
