Terrible Luck with Pirelli 19s

I am beyond frustrated today! I am having to replace what is now the 8th tire on my 2023 AT in under 3 years and 40,000 miles. I live in NJ where I know the roads are crappy and thus, I opted for the 19-inch wheel package despite the aesthetic appeal of the 20s thinking this would be safer bet. 3 of the previous 7 tires were replaced due to two separate pothole incidents. 3 of the tires were replaced due to bubbles. Only 1 tire was replaced for actual tread wear. The worst part is that I had 3 tires and a rim replaced 3 weeks ago and one of the those brand new tires is the one that went flat over the weekend. I did not go over any other road hazards when this happened and don't see a tear in my side wall or any foreign object in the visible part of the tire, but when I received the alert for the low tire pressure, I could actively hear air hissing out of that tire and it was dropping 2 PSI about every 10-15 seconds. Shout out to Lucid Customer Care for giving me a complimentary tow back home, but they themselves are saying this is unusual. Anyway, now my car is in my driveway, but inoperable because the tire is completely flat. The nearest service center doesn't have a mobile tech available, but even then, I don't think I want to replace this one with another Pirelli. Looks like I will have to get it towed myself to a local tire shop and try to swap to the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4.

What's the point in having a car if you can't rely on it to get you from point A to point B. Still I love the car, but I hate the tires!

Just anecdotal but I have 31,000 miles on the 19 inch tires (Pure AWD so lighter than the GT) and the tires look like they can go another 10 - 15,000 miles. I need to top up air (49 psi cold) roughly once every 6 months. My driving is mostly NY, NJ and VT. No issues at all.
Now I know I'll get a flat driving home from VT this afternoon.

Sorry you're having so many possible with them. I didn't get the miles out of the 19s, had to replace them much sooner, but I never had a flat. Actually, from reading this board for a long time, it sounds like they've been pretty reliable for most owners.

Coming up on 2 years and 19k miles with plenty of tread left on my 19's and no issues. I do have the good fortune of living in areas that have very few potholes to contend with.

I replaced my 19s once in 64k miles. I am sorry you are having so much trouble. Have you replaced with the same exact tires each time?

Sorry to hear that you've had a rough time with the tires. I'm about 34 months in with 32k miles on it. My 19's are down to like 3/32's and need to be replaced. No troubles with the tires so far. Trying to decide whether to put on some winter tires and get a set of wheels and tires in the spring.

I'm on my second set of Pirelli 19". First set lasted about 37k miles. I have about 12k on the second set. No issues so far.

I replaced my 19's at about 30K miles at the end of May. No issues at all.

I unfortunately had a screw in one of my 19's and took to discount tire (about 20k miles in). Due to my sometimes spirited driving, tread was in the zone where they said I could either replace or keep going for another 5-10k, but I opted to replace them all since having different tread on tires can cause stress on the axles. Otherwise, had no issues with any of the tires.

As several owners mentioned the issues with the tires, I drove directly to Americas Tires after picking my car up and bought their insurance.

Glad I did, August the insurance paid for itself!

The screw was a poster child for the non-repairable area

FYI, Your insurance, or possibly credit card will cover towing costs albeit limited distance. No spare concept is a pain. I had a valve stem failure. And, car was too low for my scissors jack. After a couple of calls I gave up on mobile service and went out and bought a low profile jack and took the tire in for repair. I'm guessing that mobile repair might have cost as much as the $180 jack.
Assume you are back on the road by now.

I feel your frustration! I have less than 10k miles on my 2025 Air Pure, with 19” all season tires, and I just had to replace all 4 tires because I blew out when I hit a pot hole at about 20 mph, the tow truck pointed out bubbles in 2 of the other tires, and the 4th tire blew on my way home from getting from the Lucid service center where the tires had just been replaced. I live and drive in the suburbs of Long Island, NY. We do have potholes but, with decades of driving experience, I have never had these issues before. On a separate occasion I ran over a box cutter blade that cut my tire irreparably and remained lodged in the tread. 7 months of ownership and 5 new tires! Gets expensive fast and inconvenient!
