But there is one big difference, EVs are taking over…….its a given. Unlike Betamax……I picked up more shares today. While I don’t yet have a vehicle (my 2026 AGT lease application is not fully approved), I appreciate the engineering behind Lucid’s amazing vehicles and the company’s potential.
Of course, I also appreciated the engineering behind the Betamax videotape format, the advanced capabilities of IBM’s OS/2, and Borland Software’s suite of development and office productivity tools…
Eventually (8% market share in the US now, years away from a large share). But there is one big difference, EVs are taking over…….its a given. Unlike Betamax……
Having a great product is only part of the equation. To survive and thrive you have to execute. Leadership, financial performance, manufacturing, marketing, human resources, customer service and a whole host of other things. It all matters. The best companies win, not necessarily the best products.I picked up more shares today. If you don’t understand why a company, any company, would choose not to comment on their stock price absent extraordinary circumstances, then maybe buying individual stocks isn’t for you. This week $4 target and Lucid will keep silent as usual
Best damn car, management

Maybe cobbling together a global team of retired elevator execs was a bad idea. They can’t even relocate fast enough to get started if they only have enough cash to make it a year. This week $4 target and Lucid will keep silent as usual

Thank you for your free adviceIf you don’t understand why a company, any company, would choose not to comment on their stock price absent extraordinary circumstances, then maybe buying individual stocks isn’t for you.
Changing the whole C-Suite could help stabilize operations (badly needed), but it could also mean waving goodbye to the company's DNA. That original engineering innovation spirit is what made Lucid what it is, for better or worse.Maybe cobbling together a global team of retired elevator execs was a bad idea. Firing a bunch of C Staff might have been a worse decision than firing service.
Here they are making a big deal about using a German law firm to pointlessly sue a Portuguese blogger while they’re literally imploding into nothingness. Given my experiences this week I’m not even convinced anyone inside Lucid knows what is happening anywhere in the company.
What, precisely, would you like them to say? “Please stop selling our stock and buy it instead?”This week $4 target and Lucid will keep silent as usual

Based on the share price? Lol.Maybe cobbling together a global team of retired elevator execs was a bad idea.
What? They can’t even relocate fast enough to get started if they only have enough cash to make it a year.
Based on?Firing a bunch of C Staff might have been a worse decision than firing service.
Not pointless. They literally didn’t have much choice, as it affected the stock and shareholders, and it is not the first time he’s done it. Also, he’s a “journalist,” not a blogger. If he were just a blogger, he might not be getting sued. Here they are making a big deal about using a German law firm to pointlessly sue a Portuguese blogger while they’re literally imploding into nothingness.
Okay.Given my experiences this week I’m not even convinced anyone inside Lucid knows what is happening anywhere in the company.
While true, I'm pretty happy with the level of engineering innovation they got to (motors, charging, aerodynamics), and they could probably live off that platform quite well for many years. IF they got the routine stuff correct. That's what's killing them, not the lack of engineering innovation.Changing the whole C-Suite could help stabilize operations (badly needed), but it could also mean waving goodbye to the company's DNA. Emphasis on "another". What's this, #27 now?Today is another buying opp.
Totally agreed, the core vehicle platform and engineering is solid and I can't see any practical need to improve it, I'd be happy with this platform for the next 10 years, if they can just continue to refine the build quality, routine table-stakes stuff, software reliability and UI/UX, and new mostly-software features (including improved self-drive).While true, I'm pretty happy with the level of engineering innovation they got to (motors, charging, aerodynamics), and they could probably live off that platform quite well for many years. We could probably argue that Tesla did that... got to a level with motors, charging, and aerodynamics they're happy with for consumer cars and have just been milking that platform for pretty much all of the 2020's and millions MY and M3 of sales. (The largely failed Cybertruck notwithstanding.) I'd be quite happy if Lucid got as far as Tesla did with consumer cars (before they got bored and shifted focus to semis and robotaxis instead).
Touché!Emphasis on "another". What's this, #27 now?![]()
what makes you say that?Another reverse stock split coming?![]()
