Steering Wheel Creaking?

Pretty much every Air I've been in has had some kind of unseemly creak coming from the steering wheel. Yesterday I isolated mine to the clamshell seam at the top behind the airbag (so part of the wheel assembly, not the column--pic). I worked a bit of furniture beeswax in there (because that's what I had on hand) and that fixed it. I'll let you know if this method sticks.
