My wheel has now started to subtly creak again, about one month after replacement, although the popping sensation has thankfully not recurred (yet). As others have mentioned, it seems to be more prominent when the weather is warm. I am just observing for now, but I expect I will call service eventually for another replacement. I hope the redesign described to @momo3605 is real and will resolve the problem.
