Software version 3.3.2

It doesn’t always pull dynamic. A week ir so ago my app only showed dynamic range for a couple of hours. Then I tapped the range and it switched to rated…and now it won’t switch back. Just switches to percent or rated. I have rated showing IN the car, so perhaps the app shows whatever you have it set to in the car?
It would make sense if it shows whatever the car is set to. Mine is set to dynamic. I'll test when I get the chance.

Last night we had a nice family drive to the city for dinner. After getting back to the car and getting inside, screens lit up, music resumed, the usual "not detecting the key" message pops up, which I learned to ignore by now. However, this time it won't go into drive. No big deal, I expertly execute hard 30 seconds Alt-Ctrl-Del sequence, car reboots, but still not getting into drive mode. This is new to me, but I remember fellow forum members describing this issue, so I pull the battery cover on my keyfob, pull the battery, hold unlock key while popping the battery back in, and we drive home laughing it off like nothing happened.
Can you imagine someone less technical, not reading this forum every day, not knowing the "rain dance" rituals needed to get the $120k car moving again, late at night in a parking garage in the city with their family in tow, frantically calling roadside assistance or Uber to get home?
I'm still somewhat OK with being Lucid's guinea pig, having this forum to support each other, but this is not an OK behavior of a car company putting their customers into such situations without a warning. I think this deserves an NHTSA investigation, possible recall, and a serious reputational black eye, so people in charge can start taking it more seriously.
BTW, I called Lucid Customer Service 2 days ago and got a case number for my DreamDrive not working. Was promised a call back, but so far no one called.
Agreed, it’s at the point now where Lucid needs to blast out an official communication on how to deal with the key fob issue.

Not everyone is on the forum or social media and it’s not something anyone could figure out without being told what to do. Might be embarrassing for Lucid to have to send out the comm and it potentially spread in the media but maybe some public media scrutiny is needed to drive home that goodwill shouldn’t be taken for granted or abused. I feel affected owners have been relatively patient and Lucid has had ample time to try fix this issue behind the scenes to no avail. Time to officially communicate.

At delivery, my SA spent no less than 10 minutes explaining how the keycards work, testing them, etc. Told me not to use the fob. That was over two months ago.

Even if one doesn’t know the fob “trick”, they should know how to use a keycard and keep it in their wallet. I’ve had zero PaaK issues with our X or R1S - I still keep a key card for each on me.

I do not think this is an NHTSA thing. Lucid could certainly send an email out to owners and another survey, but honestly, I think from a company perspective, it would do more harm than good from a PR perspective.

I expect anyone with an issue will call customer support and CS knows the fob trick. And Lucid will get it fixed.

Actually I think they’ll just move right to PaaK as my sense is the fob issue is hardware and software ON the fob - but that’s just a guess.

Re: 2; I know this is dumb, but does it work if you add the apostrophe before the S?
Holy cow. Yes that’s the issue

Without the trailing S …..Works. For the most part. Still doesn’t show everything but showed me other matches. So progress. 🎉👍

Need some suggestions.

Live View in the Android app continues to not connect for me.
Running the latest version, Wi-Fi off for car and phone.
I've tried a force stop and restart of the app.
Tried with and w/o usb stick.

Worked the first few days after the feature was added with 3.3.1, but no connection since.
Update to 3.3.2 didn't help.
Getting the message "Connection Failed".

@archon810 I recall you were also having connection issues.
Have you solved it?
A disconnect/reconnect of the usb stick did the trick. Did so while in the Drive Record section of the Halo settings.

Definitely doesn't work over Wi-Fi, which is fine since in a real world need (away from home) for the feature, neither to the car or phone would be connected to Wi-Fi.

Live view is beta, but I found when I turned off WiFi in the car it worked better, though still slow to load.

If you hit that re-center button you’ll see where the closest McDonalds are, you were viewing a different section of the map, you can tell cuz it’s showing location 7 and 11 on the one view but not the closer ones because your map isn’t re-centered to where YOU are at.

I’m not sure I quite understand- when I search, the closest ones should be highlighted. They don’t appear to be (with the plural or apostrophe).

Recenter button came up as soon as scrolled over to share to where the closest McD is / should be located.

Oh I see, so the search bar is showing one in Natick but the search area you are in has one that’s closer but not showing in the search results?

Yes. That’s the issue . 😀 the map search appears to be wonky, and inconsistent. I just tried again and I get different results.

Perhaps some folks here can check for McDonalds and post their results.

If you view the first video you will notice this one doesn’t come up for me.

I have to get these workarounds to make it appear. It’s not consistent but it’s fine for now. Most navigation issues will go away with car play. There’s a tradeoff - won’t show charger info - but one can dream.

100% agree re: the forum. I would be totally stuck without all the folks on this forum and the input and solutions and workarounds that are shared here.
Is there a Gravity "Tips and Tricks" thread somewhere? I've been keeping a few notes in advance of my own delivery and would be glad to contribute if topics not already covered.

Two more new annoying bugs experienced today, I hope someone from Lucid is reading and taking notes.

1. Bluetooth audio playing media from the phone randomly stops as if stop button was pressed, the icon onscreen changes accordingly, so I can touch Play again to resume audio, but it stops again randomly within 2-10 seconds. This kept happening for the rest of the drive, but did not happen on the next drive after a sleep cycle.

2. Custom function button on the steering wheel is no longer saving the assigned function. It still shows Homelink as I assigned it days ago, but it no longer activates. When I go to Settings on the pilot screen, custom functions menu shows Homelink in black as if it was selected, but says No Function on the right menu. Reboot did not fix it, seems stuck.

I've experienced the wonky BT issues as well; it'd stop for no reason (as if the BT connection went away and then quickly reconnected), and then the phone's state of play then seems to go out of sync w/ what the car thinks is the state plays/pauses with a lag or does the opposite. Nothing too major, just annoying more than anything.

So that setting panel has always displayed "No Function" for me ever since I got the car, despite the fact that I have set custom actions and they do work as expected (they're massage chairs on each side + homelink on the steering wheel). I always figured that setting panel is bugged.

Nope, still pretty much almost never connects. We're going to need some software updates to fix this.

This should only be a display bug, I have it also happening to another option on another custom button. In reality, the button actually activates the selected feature, at least in my case.

According to several Lucid execs at the San Jose service center grand opening that I was a part of today, a new car update is scheduled for the coming week. It should address the fob issues once again and hopefully resolve them for good.

I think a fob firmware update is going to be needed as well at some point, which needs to be done by service at this point, but at least mobile service can do it (there are plans to add fob updating to the Lucid app, but it's probably in a distant future).

But the car update alone should help tremendously. From what I gathered, there are two sensors that talk to the fob, one for when you're outside and one for when you're inside and they get confused between each other when you're inside, resulting in fob detection issues. The firmware update is supposed to address that.

I did not get any information about what else might be in this update, but I'm hoping for a lot more.

I wish the update also addresses the home link issue. Been more than 3 mos since I got the car and still don’t have the home link working.
