Should I stay with 2.10 and my cccv1 or nice to upgrade and get the 2.11?

there's a misunderstanding somewhere. I had the upgraded module installed Thursday morning. the tech said it could take a week before they pushed 2.11 to my car following the upgrade. I didnt want to wait so I called Lucid service and they said they'd push it out. Friday morning we drove to airport for weekend trip. timeliness. upgrade wasn't pushed to car when we left it at airport. late Friday I got the notice on my phone that the software was ready to install. via app i initiated the software upgrade. Monday morning when we get back we should have an updated car ready to drive home. hope that helps with timeline.

for those on the fence about doing the upgrade, why wait if you plan to do it eventually? you're taking the chance of a significant price hike for hardware upgrade in my opinion.

So you can't drive the car after the upgrade until the update got pushed?

The car was fine after the hardware upgrade. I drove it to the airport. my point was the software wasnt available immediately so I didnt get to experience the new software yet

Upon the upgrade, what software gets installed if not 2.11, since it's install?

I thought the tech manually pushed the updates at time of chip install. I’m assuming they load it on via a laptop.

At the least I would hope they bring it up to 2.10.

I’m supposed to get it installed in a few weeks via mobile. I don’t have great cell signal on my road and hoping it’s not an issue. I assume most of my updates have come over WiFi.

Since many of us upgrade to CCCv2 months ago...long before 2.11 was even available it is proven that the car operates just fine with the update and without 2.11. @rsmartin even said that they drove the car to the airport so it would have had to be on 2.10. Then they remotely updated to 2.11 and have yet to drive it since they are out of town.

My tech updated some firmware on one or more modules and rebooted multiple times BEFORE 2.11

When he left the car was up to date on all firmware and software. We removed all traces of me from the car and we started from scratch.
Repair the phone, fobs, homelink, everything.

Yes it was a pita but the car has been pretty solid, a quirk here or there but nothing even to the level of mildly annoying. Pretty certain the tech didn’t want to have to come all the way back out here for something simple.

Oh btw my Audi Avant would sometimes turn the rear wiper on for one swipe when backing up. Just every few months or so. But it didn’t rise to the level of cup holders so I ignored it.

The tech is going to want to see a good signal. Preferably Wi-Fi, before they start

When you removed all traces of you from the car and started from scratch, was that before or after you downloaded the update? I have had cccv2 for a while and have the update available to download but reluctant since so many people complaining of various issues. Thanks

My thoughts exactly. The price certainly won't go down. Those that waited and got it via the rewards store came out smelling like roses. Doubt any other great deals happen.

We basically pretended I was new to the car. His conjecture was those he did this way have had fewer problems.
So far all I’ve had are 2 maybe 3 one off hiccups. And the pilot screen behavior everyone else has mentioned.
At most the annoyance level was about mosquito sized, for a bit, then gone.
As I’m the second owner I’m the recipient of the previous owners diligence. Thanks 🙏

Do you get to keep the CCCv1? and is it worthy of wall art?

Just set up my appointment today for 11/17/26 at my home. Here's what I expect: reset everything. It's not like all my data is stored in a backup on some Lucid cloud server and it is basically replacing the whole computer ram and all. So Maps? gone with the ram so will have to re-download those.

It would be nice if there was a neat little setup where all I had to do was set my iPhone on the console and let it reset everything but this is really different from a new iPad or AppleTV. And this isn't Apple, it's Lucid.

$950 for a new computer isn't bad. Put it in terms of replacing a high end laptop or MacBook Pro or even a MacBook Air. Cost is similar, at least today with datacenters sucking up all the ram and ssds and driving up prices. Actually it's a pretty good deal.

My Logic: Got a '23 AT used for a sweet price. I plan on keeping it for a long time so I upgraded to CCC2 as a way to increase the potential longevity of the vehicle. If I wasn't planning on keeping it I wouldn't have bothered with the upgrade. It most definitely will not increase the value of the car by $950.

For those interested, the location and task of upgrading the CCCv2, typically takes 3 hours. Location is behind the glove box.

the upgrade to 2.11 happened remotely while we were out of town. upon returning, it was just a hop right in the car and drive. once home i reset up all my profiles and settings. not even one bug so far... so for those afraid to upgrade... JUST DO IT. of course, this is just 1 of my 4 cars, so i wasn't risking being stranded without wheels.
